Awesome weekend spent at the cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was clean and tidy and had enough supplies. The location cannot be any more perfect with the river flowing just right out of the cabin terrace/patio. My son had quite some games and toys to play with. It sure kept him busy. Overall an awesome experience.

Fantastic house in a quiet setting

  • 5 of 5

This property is fantastic! The wrap around deck and floor to ceiling windows in the living area make it easy to enjoy the view of the creek and surrounding forrest. The area around the house offered a large area for our 3 children to play and explore, not to mention the awesome toys in the loft! They also really enjoyed the porch swing. The house is smartly laid out and comfortable. It felt like we were in a tree house with it being surrounded by trees. We have cricket and did not have cell service but the wifi worked great. We were also glad to have brought an ice chest with our groceries before we headed up as there isn't anything super close. We loved this place and had a great time!

Nice place very 70s retro but needs a little TLC

  • 3 of 5

Nice place very 70s retro

Beautiful place hidden in the trees

Confertable beds

Lots of wild life blue jays, deer, elk, squreals and crickets all around the property

And very close to water wheel hiking trail

Although I had a few issues:

The lock box with the key was very difficult to open

The fridge was cold only half the time

And no cell service so you couldn't call the owner if you had a problem

Owner's Response: Happy to see you enjoyed your stay. I had a technician come out to inspect the refrigerator and it is operating properly. I am sorry if it did not seem so to you. He suggested that sometimes it is difficult to gauge the temp in an empty refrigerator. I think I am clear in my communication with guests and in the welcome email I sent that cell service is spotty for any homes in the river canyon. Unfortunately, as I mentioned in the message, unless you enable wifi calling on your phone or use a Skype account you would have to drive a mile or so back toward Payson to make a call. But happy to see you enjoyed wildlife and the setting. Thanks again for trying us out.

Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. It really is like a very cozy treehouse. The open space was great for us all to hang out together inside. We -- well I -- enjoyed all the different bugs at night. The beds were comfortable and having two bathrooms is great if you're with a lot of people.

If I had to complain at all, it would be that there were no extra trash bags, paper towels, or toilet paper.

All in all, a great little getaway that we wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Owner's Response: Hi Christopher, Thanks for the nice review. Sorry you couldn't find the extra supplies. Normally toilet paper is under the sink in the bathroom, while paper towels and garbage sacks should be in the bottom drawer next to the oven. I will remind the cleaning people about this. Thank you for pointing this out. We certainly don't want people to have to drive back into town for this sort of thing. Thanks again.

Refreshing Getaway

We stayed for 3 days, amd really enjoyed the time at the cabin. The location was perfect, and the cabin itself was exactly as described. The owner makes sure guests enjoy their visit. I would definitely stay again.
