Stylishly remodeled and fully furnished studio condo in Historic high-rise in downtown Indianapolis. Open floor plan, big windows, granite countertops and Ikea cabinetry in kitchen and bathroom. Walking distance to Mass Ave shops and restaurants, farmers market, grocery store, library, convention center, theatres, museums, Cultural Trail and all sports venues - including Lucas Oil Stadium, Banker's Life Fieldhouse and Victory Field. Perfect location to see NCAA basketball, Colts, Pacers or Indianapolis 500 parade (short drive to Indianapolis Motor Speedway). Everything is within a 30 minute stroll. Located in Renaissance Tower, a secure, elevator building built in 1922 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. On-site property manager and laundry facilities, assigned off-street parking, wi-fi.
This is our second home used to visit family while we're in town. It's been perfect for us.
Location, location, location! And it's a beautiful old historic building with secure access and an on-site property manager.
We enjoy all that downtown has to offer. We've walked to Lucas Oil Stadium for a Colts game, walked to Banker's Life for a basketball game and concerts, walked to the downtown farmers market, dining on Mass Ave, watched the Indianapolis 500 Parade 2 blocks away - basically anything we can walk to is easier than finding parking - for us. It's great!! And now we're loving the Indiana Pacers Bike Share program that is downtown along the Cultural Trail. We can rent a bike for quick ride to Fountain Square for dinner or the museums downtown if we don't feel like walking. There are 2 bike stations within 2 blocks that we can access. It's fun!
Property very nice. Condo had nice furniture and was very clean. Very satisfied!
My wife and I had a terrific stay at the Renaissance tower. The condo is very nice and very easy to get too. It was in a great location as it was very close to downtown about a 3$ uber ride. It was also very easy to get to the Indianapolis motor speedway from the condo. We would recommend this condo to anyone staying in Indianapolis for a wkd.
I came to Indy to visit my daughter having never been there before. What a wonderful city! The owner was very helpful and responsive with suggestions for museums, restaurants and other attractions both within walking distance of the condo and a short drive away. The accommodations are perfect and very comfortable! I spent hours walking around downtown Indy and at the end of the night, no matter where I was, it was only a short walk home. I would definitely return for another stay.
There's much to like about this property: it's clean, secure, well-maintained, excellent furnishings and we enjoyed a view of Indy from the forth floor. The communal garden areas (both private and public) have been given a gentle landscape.
The furnished apartment is located in the St Joseph neighbourhood near the arts and theatre district. It's a short stroll to a fistful of local pubs and restaurants, as well as the Marsh's super market.
Although it is a decent 20-25 minute walk to reach downtown Indy, my husband and I always felt safe - including the very first night we arrived into Indianapolis late from the airport and were traipsing around the local area with backpacks in tow at 11pm. If you're a little more nervous than ourselves when it comes to safety and security: rest easy, there are two security swipe access doors on the bottom floor to enter the building, CCTV cameras in the halls and the usual double bolt and chain at the door.
Be prepared to explain to taxi drivers where East 9th is, as most drivers don't know it. Traveller tip: We found the easiest thing to do was to instruct your driver to head to Delaware Street and follow it out of the downtown area; at the St Claire intersection have them slow down and take a right at the Unity Church. Worked every time.
The owners were an absolute delight to deal with. Friendly, considerate, accommodating and super efficient at communication (responding to enquiries via email within the hour every single time - and I can assure you that when you're travelling from essentially the other side of the world, there are loads of things to inquire about).
Remembering that Indianapolis is a convention city, the hotels closer to the downtown area often capitalise on this with their varying and sometimes exorbitant room rates. This Condo is excellent value for money especially if your dates of travel fall around a convention.
Had a blast here. The Condo is in an older building but the Unit itself is 100% upgraded. The owner was nice and responded to all my emails punctually, even including a list of attractions, great restaurants and shopping districts. If I was going to be picky my only complaint would be the windows not opening. But I'm an open-window-sleeper so thats just me. That aside, I would definitely go back.
I stayed at this condo during this year's GenCon. As the headline notes, it's only about a thirty-minute walk to the convention center. The neighborhood was nice, but is not as nice as the areas you find when you get closer in to downtown. However, I live in a pretty similar neighborhood at home, I thought it was perfect. I walked to the convention center in the mornings, but usually cabbed it home at night. Honestly, it was probably safe, but since I don't know what to avoid in Indy, I stayed away from having to deal with the issue at all.
The apartment itself is very nice. The bed is comfortable, and one of the pillows is nice and firm and the other is squishy, which is great for people that might want different things. The kitchen is top notch (though I did not use it). The chair was nice for reading and the table was great for breakfast. There's excellent water pressure and the hot water comes quick in the bathroom.
All in all, I really enjoyed my stay here.
