Why Kenny Smith chose Basalt

Our home is in an amazing, rural and private setting, yet is only a 8 minute drive to the restaurants and conveniences of Basalt. Aspen is a 40 minute drive. There too many activities to list within 30 minutes of the house, and the views are just spectacular.

What makes this house unique

Our property manager could be available for cooking and/or cleaning, for a small fee. Flyfishing gear (rods, reels, waders, etc) are available to use at no charge (subject to security deposit), and fishing advice is always free :)

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

A very lovely home, and extremely comfortable! We loved gazing out at the beautiful views, playing card games outside on the deck, hiking behind the home, and walking down to the river to fish. Cooking was very convenient with such a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the trail down at Ruedi Reservoir, and hiking at Maroon Bells near Aspen. Kenny was so great to work with and speedy in his responses to our questions. We hope to return!

Simply perfect.

  • 5 of 5

Combine a truly beautiful home in a magical location with a responsive and generous host and your vacation becomes perfect. That's what our party of six adults experienced at Kenny's home on the Frying Pan River.

From drinking coffee in the am/cocktails in the pm on the beautiful deck to preparing dinner each night in the well-equipped kitchen to 'borrowing' the available fishing gear, and more - we enjoyed every moment in 'our' Frying Pan home - a great home base for exploring and experiencing all the area offers. Plus, Kenny checked in w/ us multiple times to make sure all was 'good' - going above and beyond. ******

Thank you Kenny for sharing your home. We'll be back!

Amazing property.

  • 5 of 5

All we can really say is ditto to all of the other reviews. The photos of the property are spot on, yes it looks this great in real life !! The house is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Our favorite times were sitting on the deck with our morning coffee or evening cocktail and enjoying the incredible view, beauty and silence of the area. We will be back for sure.

Thank you ...

Beautiful home in the hills above Frying Pan River

  • 4 of 5

Kenny has a lovely home in the hills above the Frying Pan River near Basalt. With no close neighbors and beautiful trees surrounding the home it is very private and quiet. The home is large, comfortable and fully stocked for guests. A cup of coffee in bed in the master bedroom is a perfect start to your Roaring Fork Valley day...the view is stunning!

The home is located in a beautiful setting in the Frying Pan River Valley. The Frying Pan River flows into the town of Basalt, which is about halfway between Glenwood Springs and Aspen. The valley is home to several species of wildlife, and is known world-wide for exceptional fly-fishing.

It is important to know that renting my home in the winter months requires a 4wd vehicle, as the road to the home is usually snow-packed.
