Wonderful house, great for kids, prime location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed a week in early September and had a great experience at the house. When we arrived we found the house very clean and tidy. The house was cleared of clutter which make unpacking and organizing easy. We were also pleased to find the house stocked with cleaning supplies, pots, pans, soap, garbage bags etc. that was nice, as often rentals do not come with those things. The house has 4 bedrooms- all a good size. There are two master suites one downstairs and one upstairs and two additional bedrooms upstairs. There is a living room and a family room as well as a good sized kitchen and a nice dining room. We rented the house with another couple (we all have kids) and it was the perfect set up for two families. Everyone had their own space. The yard is quite big and has a nice hot tub. A winning fact for us was the nice swing set in the backyard. It was a bonus and really great for all of our kids. They could all play out there and run around in the yard while we all relaxed. This really is a great house for young kids. It is within walking distance to Cape Porpoise- a cute little downtown area with a few restaurants, a market, a nice coffee shop/deli. Cape Porpoise itself is a beautiful location and the house affords you the ability to walk and really explore the area. The house is also about 5 minutes from Goose Neck beach. It is a wonderful beach and a really great spot to relax. The only thing to note is that the house does not have AC and it does tend to get pretty warm during hot summer days and evenings. The owners are available if there are any questions which is great. We had a great time at the house and recommend it highly.

Great House, Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed for the week of July 5th. The location was perfect! Set back far from the street, 5 Minute drive to Dock Square and the beach..Walking distance to the general store, an ice cream shop, a takeout kitchen and a yummy restaurant. The house was great! Lots of space , equipped with everything you need- sheets, towels, grill (Not webber as in description), kitchen appliances/utensils washer/dryer etc. The master bedroom was very comfy! The hot tub and screened in porch were awesome at night. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to go back next year. Jen was super nice and easily reachable by text or call. A bonus is that we could bring our two yorki-poos on vacation with us. I recommend staying here!

Cape Porpoise home

  • 5 of 5

What a spot! We enjoyed the convenience to Cape Porpoise(walking distance)..the kids loved walking to the ice cream store. We loved getting fresh caught lobsters from the neighbor! The house was private and comfortable with plenty of room. The screen porch was the best..we ate dinner out there almost every night.
