Welcome to 11 Sundown Bend on Kiawah Island. After unpacking and settling into our cozy cottage, you will quickly discover why we fell in love with what we consider Kiawah’s best kept secret- Inlet Cove. Nowhere else on the Island will you have quick access to the beach, the Kiawah River and an Olympic sized pool complex available only to guests and members of Inlet Cove.
A short walk or brief bike ride leads to Beachwalker Park, named one of the Country’s 10 best beaches. Here you can play, walk or bike along 10 miles of unspoiled beach among Dolphin, Sea Logger Turtles, Pelicans and other sea life.
When tired of the beach, cool off in the newly renovated community pool. Our cottage is a mere 3 minute walk from the pool and adjoining dock along the Kiawah River. Kayak, fish, catch crabs or simply enjoy the pleasure having your morning coffee while watching a morning sunrise over the river marsh; or indulge in a glass of wine while the sun sets.
Inlet Cove is a 30 minute drive from Charleston, SC – one of the country’s most historic and beautiful cities. In addition to viewing the beautiful architecture and sightseeing, Charleston has some of the country’s best dining concentrated in the very walkable downtown area. Closer to home, Freshfields Village is a quick bike ride to restaurants, a Harris Teeter grocery store and shopping.
Back at our pet friendly cottage, you’ll find our renovated, well stocked kitchen and 3 comfortable and nicely appointed bedrooms and two bathrooms.
In the living room we have an HD television, comfortable sofas and plenty of games and books for your evening entertainment. The Master Bedroom features a king sized bed, ensuite bathroom and another HD television.
The first guest room has a queen sized bed, flat screen television. A “jack and jill” bathroom connects with the other guest bedroom with two twin beds and a fourth flat screen television. We have plenty of beach and pool gear including boogie boards, skimmers, buckets, beach chairs and beach cart for your enjoyment.
A final note, while summers are fantastic, Fall and even Winter are wonderful times to enjoy Kiawah’s many biking trails and walks along the beach when fewer people are around and winter daytime temperatures are averaging in the 60s.
