Lovely home, very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our long weekend stay at the "Cottage Chic Retreat" very much! The property is conveniently located close to St. Clair, beautifully decorated and very clean. It has everything one could want and then some. The kitchen is very well equiped and a good size. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. Communication with the owner was excellent.

We would certainly love to stay here again when we return to Toronto!

Sweet Urban Oasis

  • 5 of 5

We were so lucky to find this for a last-minute trip to Toronto over Christmas! The cottage is as lovely as advertised; roomy, warm, inviting with a super comfortable bed that required no getting used to. I was especially appreciative of the kitchen: it is fully stocked with everything you could need. Pots, pans, baking sheets, tools. We like to cook in, so it was great. About the neighbourhood: St. Clair West is up-and-coming. Don't expect wall-to-wall choices like College or Yonge/ Eglinton. But we found a couple of wonderful spots. The Rushton saved us on Day One when we got hungry after lunch, but before a lot of places had reopened for dinner. And Dave's was open on Boxing Day and served us a fabulous brunch. So cute in there! And for food shopping, you can't beat Loblaws, within walking distance and open 24-hours. Another great feature is the options for public transit. You can get anywhere quickly via St. Clair streetcar, Christie St. bus or the subway (St. Clair West station.) We would love to return in the summer to take advantage of the back yard. HIGHLY recommend this property and location.

Nice stay

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for a short week at this very convenient property in our own city. Judy was very prompt in responding to our inquiries, the house is very cosy and the kitchen well equipped. More than a cottage, it is located in a great neighbourhood with plenty of fun restaurants and wonderful small stores, including local butchers and Italian specialty food stores, not to mention the Saturday Witchwood market. It turned into an opportunity to explore another section of our fabulous city.
