Chic cottage tucked away

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time visiting Toronto, for my brother’s wedding. There were six of us - two adults and four kids - and more than enough room for all of us. It was wonderful to be within walking distance of the shops on St. Clair yet still be on a quiet and peaceful street.

The cottage itself is absolutely well appointed and gorgeous. The master bedroom alone is bigger than most hotel rooms. The older kids made the basement their hangout spot and the younger ones played in the living room, which you can see from the dining area/kitchen.

Judy is warm and responsive. She truly strives to provide the best for your stay. We really enjoyed our vacation and can’t wait to come back!

Really nice home. Near things to do.

Loved the stay. You are close enough to the buses and main lines, yet hidden and quiet. Good access to shops and food. And Starbucks is root around the corner.

Wonderful property!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and two teenagers came to Toronto to sight-see and enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. Judy has wonderful taste in decor and the place was spotless! We are cat owners and could detect a cat smell, so you may want to consider that if you have allergies.

We ate out most of the time, but I would have loved cooking in the kitchen. The appliances are marvelous. Bring napkins or paper towels however as there were none in the home. We went to an Indian restaurant on St. Clair just a few blocks away. Highly recommend! I'm Indian and it was super yummy!

The master bedroom has such a comfortable bed and my son loved having the basement all to himself! The plants in the back yard provide privacy for having your morning cup of tea on the back porch. It's lovely.

We would stay here again. Thanks Judy for being a thoughtful rental property owner.

Owner's Response: Maxeena, You're very welcome and we appreciate the wonderful review of our property. The enviro-friendly cleaning products we use do have a faint plant-based odour...not sure what else it could have been as we do not allow cats in our home for the comfort of our guests with allergies. We do appreciate it being brought to our attention so we can deal with it immediately. Thank you again for choosing our property for your vacation and we hope to have you and your family stay with us any time! Best, Judy

Wonderful home from which to explore Toronto

  • 5 of 5

This was our first very visit to Toronto (and Canada in general). My wife, two boys (10 and 6), and I truly enjoyed our stay at Judy's Downtown Cottage. The house had all the comforts of home (comfortable beds, fully furnished kitchen, inviting living areas, and all the needed amenities). The house is extremely conveniently located. Within two blocks there is a north/south bus line. Just another 1/2 block away is a east/west street car line. We used the TTC predominantly during our stay and this house's location easily allowed us access to all the Toronto attractions we visited. We especially loved the Starbucks two blocks away. We started just about all of our days with coffee and croissants from there. The nearby main street with the street car has an incredible selection of restaurants and various businesses (Tim Horton's, Asian restaurants, Italian resaurants, McDonalds, Subway, etc.). There were also many major Canadian banks and their ATM's located on that same main street so were able to obtain any needed Canadian cash at very competitive exchange rates. Overall, we were quite happy to have been able to stay at Judy's house during our first very visit to Canada. When next we travel to visit the wonderful city of Toronto, we will first look to see if the Downtown Cottage is available.
