About Marco Delle Sedie
Born in the sunny Tuscany; I used to work for a building company. For some years now my main activity has been property to address the increasing demand from tourists looking to rent an apartment in Lucca. This apartment is owned by me, I'm not a manager, so if you book my apartment you know that I am fully focused to assure you a great stay! On a more personal level I am a laid back person who loves dancing, travel and mixing with fun and interesting people, as well as spending quality time with my friends. In terms of being a guest, I always treat my properties at the best - I believe in clean living, I don't smoke and only drink in tiny amounts. I am sociable and can talk a LOT; sometimes TOO much, in fact! At this stage in my life I do like some level of comfort, but it does not have to be extravagance. My flat is always ready for visitors. I like to keep it clean and uncluttered, such as you would expect in a good hotel space. But it is not a hotel - it is a home I like to share with you if you stay. I have a passion about the warp and weft of my town and relish the chance to share this enthusiasm with my guests.
Why Marco Delle Sedie chose Lucca
These apartments are located in the oldest part of the historic center of Lucca and were already present in 1200. The building has medieval aspects including a characteristic hemispherical shape.

beautifully kept apartment in the historic centre of the city
The apartment was spotlessly clean yet very characterful. Arrival was very straightforward. Detailed instructions were given for the use of the apartment and there was a helpful introduction to the area. Because the first full day we were there was quite chilly, the heating in the apartment was very welcome. Despite being so central the apartment was very quiet. Everything in the apartment worked perfectly. Highly recommended.
Hi William, thank you so much for being my guest and for having found the time to write this wonderful review. I hope to see you back soon!
Three of us enjoyed our stay at this cozy apartment. Plenty of room. Marco was very attentive when ever we needed him. Wish there was a Nespresso coffee machine. I would definitely stay there again and will recommend to friends.
Dear Leanna, thank you for being my guest, I hope to see you back in the futere, Ciao!
Ottimo appartamento, ottimo proprietario!
L'appartamento è delizioso, accogliente e ben curato.

The city of Lucca is one of the jewels of Tuscany, a point of arrival or passage that can not be overlooked for its artistic beauty and its charming atmosphere . After they were passing in Lucca, many foreign visitors have chosen the city as their second home. Visit Lucca is plunging through the narrow streets of one of the best preserved ancient old towns, stroll three famous Walls, to taste the local dishes in the many pubs and take part in the many artistic and cultural initiatives organized. Anyone visiting the city of Lucca is positively surprised by the possibility of living in peace the different aspects of the old town and its surroundings areas. The visit can begin with a walk on the Walls of Lucca, built during the sixteenth century and used in urban park in the nineteenth century, the Walls are the true symbol of the city recognized for its peculiarity worldwide. Preserved intact until today, the Walls of Lucca are considered to be an active resource for citizens, along the 4 km, living their free time in the shade of trees. Visible from the walls, standing out above the roofs there is the Guinigi Tower, the famous tower built around 1390 by the powerful Guinigi family from Lucca Guinigi, and the Clock Tower and scrolls dating from the medieval period the city council of the city. The city of Lucca is traditionally known as the city of the 'hundred churches' to the large number of places of worship of various different ages present within the Walls. This name is not a coincidence when you consider that, in addition to the large number of the official churches. Currently, many churches have been desecrated, but still some outstanding religious buildings of great interest. The Lucca Cathedral, the Cathedral of San Martino, founded by San Frediano in the eleventh century and subsequently rebuilt, in addition to the architectural beauty of medieval and Renaissance art, contains masterpieces by Nicola Pisano, Jacopo della Quercia and Tintoretto. Inside there are also preserved the ancient cross of the Holy Face and the tomb of Ilaria del Carretto. Continuing the tour of the city of Lucca is recommended a walk in Via Fillungo, main course that cuts the city center and on which encircle the medieval buildings. Heart of the business and craft of Lucca, Via Fillungo cleverly combines ancient and modern giving visitors an interesting visit for a look at the ancient crafts, with regard to the conservation of jewelery and leather goods for a time, and to make shopping simple. Stage not to be forgotten is the outlet of the Amphitheatre Square , now known as Market Square, where once stood the ancient Roman forum. The access is allowed to the square of the four ports located at the entrances of the ancients square. The Piazza Anfiteatro is a jewel for the city of Lucca with its cozy restaurants and its workshops of painters and artists. The party on April 27 to pay homage to the Patron Saint Zita tinged with colors of the Square of the traditional flower market. During the visit of Lucca falls easily in Piazza Napoleone, called by the citizens of Lucca Piazza Grande, has always been a space born to be the center of political power with the Doge's Palace sits next to it and now the seat of the Province. The arrangement of the square is very different from the original . The work initiated in the nineteenth century by Elisa Bonaparte Baiocchi, to pay tribute to his brother Napoleon Bonaparte, led to the current structure of the square that reminds fact, in some parts, the large expanses of Paris. Today, Piazza Napoleone is seen mostly as one of the focal points of the city of Lucca for its spacious and elegant setting. Trying to make the most of its historic buildings, the city of Lucca has transformed many mansions in major museums and public buildings of great importance. Among these we recommend a visit to the Palazzo Mansi, XV century building which houses the collection of the National Gallery consists of fine Italian and foreign works made between the Renaissance and the eighteenth century. While offering its visitors to visit places rich in history and culture, in recent years the city of Lucca has decided to open up to new promoting festivals and exhibitions that have gained international visibility for interest and avant-garde. The traditional Lucchese antiques market , there are also important initiatives therefore of great contemporary appeal. Notable among these are the Lucca Comics & Games, the international festival of comics recognized as the best in the Italian that involves the whole city in the days between October and November, the Summer Festival, tested musical event in July makes Piazza Napoleone a stage for artists of international renown, and the Digital LUCCA pHOTO fest, important festival of photography and visual art that showcases from late November until mid-December.
