Downstairs is a second kitchen for prepping big dinners or cooking the days catch . TV in all rooms for the rare rain day. Home was renovated this year with beautiful hardwood floors and fresh paint. Drop a crab trap or two in the backyard and have your own, fresh caught seafood dinner. Bring your small fishing boat (under 16 ft boat) down and keep it on your private dock with room for boat trailer under the home. Public boat ramp a close 7 blocks away. Dolphin frequently swim by home and many birds including blue herons, white herons, bald eagles, pelicans and more are often seen from the three porches.

Numerous restaurants a short drive or walk from home. Also aa ocean fishing pier as well as ice cream shop and putt putt . You will be tucked away on your private street with your own private peaceful dock a short block or so to the public beach access yet close to everything North Myrtle Beach and Myrtle Beach has to offer.

Cherry Grove is a golf Cart community an d you can even rent your own golf cart to get around town on or a moped . There are even two Marsh front public parks within walking distance from our home with walking paths if you want to get off the beach for a bit.

In addition to our private dock to catch your redfish and flounder and blue crabs and trout, there are two seafood markets around the corner, a couple great groceries an dozens of local restaurants as well as some from your hometown like Outback and Carrabbas and Panera and Buffalo Wild Wing Cafe and Mellow Mushroom Pizza and Applebees and more.

But why would you go to a place you coud eat at at home when there is Filets Restaurant, Capt Archies, Flounders, Basil's , Midtown Bistro, Brisket and dozens more within 10 minutes from your Cherry Grove hideaway ?

Bealouineaus grocery has some of the best steaks around too and nothing like grilling your own while watching the sun slowly settle across the marsh after a day at the beach . Options are endless.

I keep my two charterboats a couple miles from the house at Harbourgate Marina right there at the Swing Bridge coming into Cherry Grove and the fish are usually biting so thats always a great option while youre in town too.

Of course if Golf is your game it goes without saying that yu are visiting the golf Capital of the world with over 200 courses to choose from and almost as many Putt Putt courses . As a matter of fact the world PuttPutt championship course is right here in north myrtle .

Hope you have a great time while you visit.

This property is special because of its fantastic views and close proximity to beach. It is one of a handful of waterfront homes in cherry grove that has unobstructed views of saltwater inlet and marsh from backyard . I have caught hundreds of flounder by boat drifting by this home and it was a dream come true to own this gorgeous home with the ability to fish and crab in its own backyard

What makes this house unique

Home sits on a stretch of cherry grove inlet that holds deep water on all tides and is also at end of a no thru street . The three decks offer relaxation at all levels. After a day at the ocean - short block away you can use the two enclosed downstairs showers to clean up and then plop down on the swing seat or hammock or check your crab pots. Restaurants, golf, fishing boats, horseback riding, jet skis , casino boats, four wheelers, shopping all right there.

Beautiful location; home needs improvements

  • 3 of 5

First, I must say that the location of the property was fantastic. We all very much enjoyed being on the water and sitting on the deck to watch the evening sunsets. It was great family time together - 3 generations from NC and Florida.

However, I must share my comments on what needs attention…

Cleanliness: Upon arrival, the house was not clean.

The floors were dirty.

There was dust and objects under the beds and dressers

The furniture, blinds, and ceiling fans were dusty too

Shower curtain was mildewy.

Stains on sunroom carpet.

BBQ was filthy dirty and molded;

Broken items:

BBQ broken; knobs broken

Window screens ripped everywhere in sunroom and doors

Sunroom screen door gap lets bugs in

Sunroom back 2nd left blind broken

Sunroom pullout couch not functional

Broken white plastic chair outside

Telescope broken

Pantry door next to refrigerator doesnt shut

Laundry light flickers

Missing items that would we would have expected to be provided in a vacation rental:

No gas in tank…went out and filled our tank but grill didn’t work anyway

No kitchen garbage bags

Not enough coffee mugs - only 4

No hangars in closet

No toilet brushes

Lightbulb out in bathroom, no replacement bulbs available

Baking pans..need replacing

No blender

Only 1 wine glass

Refrigerator door shelves missing

More ice trays

No hairdryers

Safety hazards:

Rug with curled up ends is a tripping hazard

Frayed carpet on outside front stairs is a tripping hazard

Ceiling fan lightbulb broken inside socket in back left bedroom

Doorknob broken on back left bedroom...locks if shut

Screen door handles broken and sharp

Front banisters very wobbly

Kitchen chair broken- could have seriously hurt someone (in corner)

Not as advertised:

Bbq dirty and broken..not useable as advertised. Had to go out and buy a grill

Downstairs kitchen too musty to use

No running water in sinks at dock

Advertised tvs in every bedroom but 2 on left side bedrooms dont work

No restriction on boat size in ad

Owners not very responsive and a bit rude. Reply to my text inquiring about security deposit, "You gotta relax. I work on the water all day"

Owner's Response: The Tvs were all brand new and did/do work. The outlet theyre on is activated by light switch. Maybe that was it_ never asked or alerted me about that. Never asked about bringing a 30 ft houseboat to our floating dock either even though our listing explicitly says for a small jon boat . When confronted , things went south. This "guest tried explaining to me that their dock could support it fine at their lake house. When i explained we had a 4 1/2 foot tide and the weight of their monstrosity and lack of following rules could destroy our dock, she got indignant and made up a lot of untruths. i have waited almost 7 months to address this list of complaints with the thought that they were self evident & ridiculous but upon someone inquiring felt worth addressing. This woman booked the JUly 4th reservation then tried to cancel a week before check in . - I mean who books a beach house in advance for July 4th week then tries to cancel it a week ahead of time. She then shows up with a boat that is bigger than anything anyone has ever seen in this marsh and ties it to the railing on my dock . Then she calls to say the bathroom sink isnt draining . i come to the house and the sink is fine, the lever wasnt lifted enough. The living room throw rug was and still is curled up at a corner about 1/8 inch . not exactly a life threatening hazard. one of the 4 screen door handles was broken when they checked out- not when they checked in. She called because the gas grill wasnt clean. She called because the propane tank was empty. I explained the hardware store 20 blocks down the street would fill it for $15. Guests unfortunately forget to turn it off sometimes. She didnt like that. Our home was left trashed with plates of food under the master bed, garbage and sand. Upon looking around 2 of the knobs on my gas grill have been broken off . I replaced the grill after they left with a new one. I look at our houseguests as friends and enjoy having a lot of repeat visitors. This guest made us very appreciative of all the very nice people we've had the pleasure of sharing our beach home with. We look forward to having only repeat guests in the very near future (not like This) and also meeting new guests who we can consider friends .My two charterboats are docked just a couple miles away and I take alot of my guests and their friends and familes fishing while here, it is a great relaxing magical place and we hope to share it with you.

Perfect Family Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

The home was perfect for our family at Thanksgiving. It was located on the 'deep water' part of the channel which allowed fishing or boating throughout all tide changes. Fishing was great right from the deck. The home had everything needed for cooking and was very clean and updated. It was also a short walk to the beach from this home. The owner made himself available if problems were encountered (had no problems for the week). Definitely hope to go back!!

Extremely impressed

  • 5 of 5

A group of 7 of us rented this house for a week. More than enough space, clean and neat, and easy access into town. The best part for our group was the inlet right behind the house. There were dolphins and stingrays spotted everyday. Fishing from the dock was better than expected. The rates more than fair. We most certainly will return to this location
