Lake Muskoka ... Says it all

  • 5 of 5

A week off and a great opportunity to relax and spend some quality touring by land and water. Centrally located between Gravenhurst, Bala, Port Carling and Bracebridge, lots of opportunity to take advantage of everything cottage country provides. Beautiful views and awesome sunsets. Definitely an advantage being on one of the big three lakes.

Beautiful Spot

  • 5 of 5

We had friends visiting from Ireland who wanted a real Canadian cottage experience! This was definitely it! The views from the dock and sun deck were nothing short of spectacular (sunsets are 'National Geographic' spectacular). Mornings and nights are peaceful and tranquil. It is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax. The accommodation was very modern - two areas that are my 'MUSTS" are the kitchen and bathrooms. Both are well appointed and if anything was missing, we had no problem getting it from the owners. Its a five minute drive to Bala and about 10 - 15 to Port Carling - so everything within reach.

Relaxed in Muskoka - Incredible

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place to get away and relax. The cottage and setting was spectacular. Newly renovated -- all the amenities. Evenings on the dock and patio to watch the sun go down are without compare. We rented a boat for a few days and toured these beautiful lakes. The cottage's location was perfect for cruising to Port Carling and Bala - for shopping and food. John was a gracious host, meeting us and making sure we had everything we needed. We will be back.

Bueatiful View As Advertised

  • 4 of 5

For my wife and I it was a opportunity to get away and enjoy a quiet Lake Holiday. Lake Muskoka and this location provides both a quiet, peaceful cottage experience with good access to whatever you need by water or by road. Easy access to local sightseeing and a beautiful setting to just hang out and enjoy the view. Having looked at a few properties, this location offers a stunning vista during the day and amazing sunsets. There were a few kitchen items missing on our arrival, however a quick e-mail provided quick delivery of the items needed. Definitely looking to organize another visit, hopefully during a July/ August timeframe.

Muskoka charm without the price

  • 5 of 5

My wife and two children were able to get away for a much needed escape! After doing my homework I found this place to be exactly what we were looking for and well within our price range. Bruce even offered us a cheaper rate because it was still early in the season. The weather was perfect but the water was still a bit cool for my wife and I. The kids on the other hand had no problem jumping in the lake. I can't offer much on dining out since we did all of our cooking at the cabin. We did make it out one night for ice cream and pie.

Another Amazing Vacation

  • 5 of 5

As Usual our 2016 Spring trip was to our favorite place. John and Bruce's cottage on Lake Muskoka and this time was the same result....Excellence. My wife and I love the cottage and the great location and the early spring fishing was fantastic. Catching fish right off the dock or working all the various bays and shoals. John's knowledge and help provided us with a great deal on a small fishing boat and many thanks to him for getting us in touch with some of the local fisherman and their wealth of info. The huge deck provides a beautiful vista of sunsets and the calming effect of waves lapping on the shore. Ending your day with a glass of wine looking at the views as the sunsets is a special event for anyone and everyone to appreciate.

There's a nice Weber BBQ on the deck and a more than adequate kitchen to cook up your favorite meals. So if you like to BBQ, or impress the wife with your culinary skills bring you favorite foods and take in calming effect of this hidden paradise. Based on our experiences, the cost to rent this wonderful cottage is very affordable compared to similar sized cottages on the lake and you'll be hard pressed to find a better view or location. John and Bruce are very easy to deal with and their response time to emails is fantastic . We will be coming back again this year if time allows...:)
