I just wanted to thank you for renting out your place to us for the weekend and providing us with some treats and coffee. The place was amazing and a perfect spot for us to lay low when we were not at the fairgrounds. Cool pool

The house is as described. The kitchen is well equipped, the mattresses are comfortable, the linens are great and the house was clean and well maintained. Because the pool is not heated, it is cool and inaccessible in certain months. We were there in March and were limited to lounging beside the pool, as the water was too cold. We've suggested to the owners that the lounge chairs need to be updated. They are too low, not comfortable and difficult to get in and out of.

I am very disappointed in what your housekeeper told you.

The furniture was two chairs from in the house moved to the front entrance. A two minuted job to return

Same as outdoor furniture. You say the rental is for six, yet you only provide four chairs at the dining room table. Hence we had to move a couple of chairs inside. again a two minute job to replace.

I’m not sure why you would want a bbq placed inside your garage with a propane bottle in it?? Lawn chair another minute.

Yes we left food items in the fridge. There was food items in the cupboard when we arrived. Again maybe ten minutes to trow out.

We did wash all the dishes (in the dishwasher). I would think you would want your housekeeper to look at the dishes for cleanliness before they are put away.

The only garbage left in the house was two bags in the one bedroom. One minute to throw out.

Bathroom window was left open as there was a musty smell in the bathroom when we arrived so we left it open when we left.

I think you have a mold problem in the house.

I left a email for you where the one set of keys were.

I cannot imagine how two housekeepers could take 8 hours to clean that size of house. I could do it myself in 6.

I’m not sure what furniture the housekeepers could not move?? Those were the only items we moved.

I do not believe you paid the housekeepers for 8 hours work.

My deposit should be fully refunded.

You also advertise you have a pool and hot tub yet you neglect to inform anyone that you do not heat the pool or hot tub. That is false advertising.

Owner's Response: My #1 priority is always to accomadate the happiness and needs of my guests, so I am sorry to hear about your concerns. I am surprised to see your review since you sent an email after your stay saying "Thank you the stay was great." But to address your issues in the review: Our housekeeper told us that you broke several house rules and left the home in total disarray, which led to extra time and effort to clean and prepare the house for the next guest. The house rules are implemented for a reason. They are clearly stated in the House Rules and Departure List. - There was more than just a couple chairs rearranged in the house including a bulky 75+ lbs coffee table and the glass outdoor patio dining table that is too big and heavy for one person to move. - There are two extra chairs in the garage for the kitchen dining table. - The BBQ is stored in the garage because it will get stolen or sun damaged if left outside - Dishes: there were unwashed glasses throughout the house and plates full of food left in the refrigerator. -The only food in the house at guest check-in is a Gift Basket and oil & spices for helping guests cook. There were perishable food items left in the cabinets. The Deparure List states guests are required to dispose of all their food upon departure in the garbage cans outside the house. - We ask guests to close all windows, lock all doors, and put the house keys back in the lock box to prevent burglaries. I have never noticed a musty smell in the house, nor has a guest ever mentioned it. The landscaper, pool guy, and housekeeper all have set rates. The housekeeper is paid $200 for 4 -6 hours to clean and get the house ready for the next guests. It took two housekeepers 8 hours to clean and prepare the house, hence the $500 cleaning fee. I refunded you the full remaining portion of your security deposit. It clearly states in the ad for the house, in the "details" section, that the pool/spa are not heated. We only ask guests to treat our house the way they would treat their own home.

Relaxing Rendezvous

I stayed for a 3 day weekend and really wished I had made it a complete week!

I hadn't really experienced Palm Springs until this long weekend I had with a few girlfriends and myself. The home has the charm of a Spanish villa, but the amenities of a hotel and then some. There is of course AC and cable, but also a dishwasher, and washer and dryer. The host also supplied plenty of kitchen supplies and complimentary snacks to start you off.

The house is located just outside of Palm Springs proper (about 20 minutes), but still close enough to grocery stores, shops and a few restaurants in order to have the best of both worlds. You are close to a few hiking trails as well, which was great to do and then come back and lounge by the pool, which of course led to doing the jacuzzi.:). There was also nearby tennis and golf, but us girls were just there to relax and lounge:)

I think what was so nice was the calm and quiet you get from the residential area and the desert / mountain terrain. I believe it is the Santa Rosa Mountain that is literally right there, but not for sure. Anyway, the actual accommodations of rooms for all of us were really nice. We were 6 girls, but I think it could sleep more than that.

The living room seating was spacious, and the TV system was definitely large enough to make us all happy. I also noticed the bathrooms and kitchen modernized and super clean. What more can you ask for ??

Great time and would do it again!

great vacation spot

The house is all it is advertised to be and more. Everything was wonderful, we had a great week. Great location for a base to explore the area, great hiking, great restaurants and easy commute to Polo Grounds (we were in town for an event there) We will be back!!

Amazing Vacation Home!

This is an amazing vacation home with everything you could possibly need.

The house was great. Beautiful, relaxing and well taken care of with comfy beds and an incredibly well-equipped kitchen. The property was clean and well-maintained. And the location was perfect. Walking distance to hiking trails and dining, and centrally located to shopping, golfing, the Aerial Tramway, downtown Palm Springs, and so much more...

We enjoyed relaxing by the pool with amazing views of the mountains and palm trees. The weather was perfect; sun, blue skies and warm breezes.

We drove to Joshua Tree National Park and spent a lovely day hiking the trails. We particularly enjoyed the mornings. Eating fresh grapefruit picked from the grapefruit trees in the home's courtyard, then walking to La Quinta Cove Old Town Village for our morning coffee.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We hope to come back next year!

Couples Retreat

We were really impressed, there was lots to do. The guys went golfing in the mornings while the girls got caught up while hiking in the trails near the house. We lounged by the pool in the afternoons, and had tons of fun without ever having to turn on the tv or our computers.

There are some good restaurants nearby. The kitchen at the house was beautiful, but thank goodness I didn't have to cook all weekend! Thanks for the recommendation of riding our bikes over to the Crab Pot for happy hour. We ate in the Cove all weekend!

Already planning another vacation with the in-laws, they'll love the area. (p.s. the house too!)
