About Doug Quinn

I am a retired dentist and my wife is a Realtor. We left Atlanta and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 2001. Glenda worked for a Fortune 50 company for 20 years before starting her own Marketing company. When she sold the company and we moved to Fla I was able to continue practicing dentistry. I joined the practice of an Emory Dental school classmate who had set up in this area after we graduated. I re-retired in 2008 and became bored. My wife was a realtor so I went to class and got my Fla real estate license. We love the beach and Gulf of Mexico and have become sales specialists in waterfront property.

Our home is 10 minutes from this condo. We are on the Intracoastal waterway with our boat on a lift in the back yard. I can be in big water in less than 15 minutes right out John's Pass. That is why we don't live in the Pier House quite yet. Hard to give up what we already have. We really do plan on moving into this particular condo when we really RETIRE....whenever that is!!!

Why Doug Quinn chose Indian Rocks Beach

When we bought this condo we had a check list of 'must have' features. Some of those criterea could be sacrificed but not the need to have the master bedroom open onto the beach. There is nothing better than falling asleep to the sound of the waves....except for waking up to the same sounds.

The unique design of this building gives our end unit sliding doors and decks on the North side as well as the West side(the one facing the beach). This is by far the brightest, most open 1500 square foot condominiums I have seen in this area. We feel if you are at the beach you should be able to have a view of the sand from every room. Well, we do.

What makes this condo unique

This unit is on the 4th floor of a 5 story building. The unit above ours is 200 square feet larger. As such it provides with an overhang on the balcony. This was an unexpected bonus and provides protection from the occasional rain shower.

We own 2 assigned parking spaces, one under the building and the other just outside the North elevator. Close to the covered parking space is a beach locker where we provide beach chairs and umbrellas.

Very nice!

This Pier House condo was exactly as described and we enjoyed a very relaxing and comfortable vacation. We had one little problem and Dr. Quinn came over promptly and took care of the situation; we appreciated this very much! We recommend this specific unit to anyone looking for privacy and comfort in an area that has quick access to everything you want to see, do, or eat. Thanks again!

Great ocean front condo!

Thus is a large, tastefully decorated condo in the heart of Indian Rocks Beach. There's no need to bring your beach equipment - beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, coolers are all provided. It is a very quiet unit just steps away from a wide variety of shops and restaurants. A perfect beach vacation condo!

Owner's Response: Thank you. When we purchased this unit we planned on moving in permanently at retirement. We keep in tip top shape because we use it all the time. With so many restaurants and shops close by some renters comment they never started their rental car until they had to head home. We are so glad you enjoyed our piece of paradise.

Indian Rocks Beach Condo

We had a great stay in this condo unit in Indian Rocks Beach, FL! The 2 bedroom unit was well decorated, clean, and stocked with all we needed. The view from the balcony is spectacular and you can see up and down the beach for several miles. Of course, the sunsets are magnificent also. We used the pool every day, the hot tub every night, and walked to several restaurants during the stay. We will probably be coming back next Christmas, and staying longer!

Great Condo in a pefect location

This is a great condo which is in a perfect location. Very nice condo on the corner which provides a better breeze than many of the others. The unit was very well equipped when we arrived so check in first and then go to the grocery store. The descriptions in VRBO were very accurate and Doug was quite responsive to questions. The beach was quiet and sparsely populated (September is a great month). There is a sand bar about 200 feet out where the water was only 3-4 feet deep. We would see dolphins almost every day, the occassional sting ray and lots of sea birds. Sunsets are perfect and you have a wide panorama up and down the beach. The pool and hot tub are in great condition and are shaded for most of the morning. Tables with umbrellas, lounges and chairs were plentiful. There are three casual restaurants within easy walking distance - one is immediately across the street which provide very good food options. Many other restaurants are located within a 15 minute drive in either direction up and down the coast. I heartily recommend the Pier House and this unit in particular.

Great location and the sunsets were wonderful

This was the first time we had done such a booking and we were aware of the pitfalls that could happen but our owner Doug Quinn put our minds at rest. From the time of the initial booking to the very last day of our vacation he was contactable and willing to help to ensure that our vacation were without any problems.

We are from the UK so knowing the area was not easy but Doug ensured us that what we wanted was close or just a short drive away. he was not wrong. If it was a bite to eat, a drink and some live music "Crabby Bills" was just across the road, but far enough away that we were not disturbed by any noise.

On our arrival the condo was clean and welcoming with plenty of room for our clothes etc. The walk in shower for the master bedroom was fantastic. The view from the balcony could not be bettered. The sun set happened directly in front of our condo which was on the forth floor. Doug had provided all the necessary beach towels and equipment so our time on the beach was great. The pool area was always quiet except for one night when some visitors decided to have a little too much to drink. Only the one time so no real problem. The pool was clean and warm with ample loungers, seats and sun shades. Easy access to the beach was a bonus.

Underground parking for our rental car and secure elevator was worth while. Overall this was a good introduction to condo renting in Florida. Doug explained everything and ensured that the wi-fi was working as this was important to us.

Great time and good memories. Just what we wanted. Sad to leave such a great place.

View, Owners caring and available

Three sided ocean views are rare. The property owners who lived close and were available really wanted us to enjoy the unit and delivered a new bedroom TV when we had trouble with the existing TV. We have already made our reservations for 2016.
