About Amanda McCauley
My husband Rick and I have 2 kids, Mattox and Sophie. Originally from Chicago, and after living in Los Angeles for a while, we now live in Las Vegas which gives us a lot of opportunities to enjoy this place. We hope that we can offer the same relaxing and enjoyable times to our guests that it offers to us. We wanted to create a place that our guests could enjoy and feel at home.
Amanda McCauley purchased this Cabin in 2007
Why Amanda McCauley chose Long Valley Junction
My husband and I ended up here during a forth of July trip in 2007, we instantly fell in love with the area. We ended up looking at homes for fun and when we saw this one is was like it was meant for us. It had what both of us wanted in a mountain home, year round accessibility, paved streets, fantastic views of the pink cliffs, trees and the neighborhood was conveniently located by the 14 and 89, which gave us great access to many scenic drives. Over the years we have loved and enjoyed this place and even called it home for a few months when we relocated from Los Angeles to Las Vegas in 2013.
What makes this Cabin unique
Being close to both the 14 and 89 offers an easy drive to many scenic locations. Both Zion and Bryce are approx 1/2 hour drive away. Lots of wildlife to see and wonderful towns to visit.

family christmas vacation!
The house was awesome and beautiful! The living room feels much bigger in person than in the picture and so was the kitchen. Plenty of space for 2 families with plenty of toys for the little ones. We stayed here with our two kids (7 & 2) along with another family with a toddler as well and it was plenty of space for all 7 of us. It was close to Bryce, Cedar Breaks and Zion and was only 2 hours away from Horseshoe Bend and Lake Powell. Amanda was awesome and was just a text away with any questions that I had which were very few. We will definitely use this cabin again if/when we come back.
Thanks for the nice review! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time!
Great trip for hiking
We spent a week at this wonderful house. We are a family of 6 with 4 kids (6, 9, 12, 14). We liked that the master was on the top floor and the other bedrooms were in the basement. If you have young children this may be difficult. The house was clean and ready when we arrived. The owners were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. There was a wild fire 20 miles to the north and the owners kept us up to date. We visited Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Kodachrome and Cedar Breaks national parks. Zion was very crowded, we waited 40 minutes for a shuttle bus at the visitor center.
The railing on the deck and the back stairs needs to be reinforced or replaced. Otherwise the house was perfect.
Very nice home! Great escape from the crowded national parks. Duck Creek was a pleasant surprise.
Would be a 5 star except for highway noise.
Restful and spacious home!
Our group of five had a wonderful time at this cabin. Plenty of room to spread out and the split floor plan allowed each family privacy. The location was convenient to both Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. We visited both during our stay and went off-roading in ATVs in Duck Creek Village. The home's large kitchen provided every amenity for making meals. We stopped at Cedar City on the way from the airport to pick up provisions. The bedrooms were spacious with plenty of closet space.
We would recommend this property for groups or families looking for a relaxing place to stay while visiting Utah's gorgeous parks.
Perfect place for a quiet get away.
Stayed here over Thanksgiving. Nice quiet, clean house that is perfectly placed between Zion, Bryce and Grand Staircase. Amanda was easy to communicate with and was always prompt to answer any questions.
Perfect Place to Stay
This was a very clean and roomy house for us to stay. Very convenient to the Canyons and other sightseeing places. Everything you would need was provided. It was great to look out and see deer when we had breakfast and a late dinner. We loved the deck around the house. We would definitely go back in a heart beat. The only down part was all the spiders. Our friend does not like spiders. we counted 60+ in the 8 days we were there. But I'm sure the owners have taken care of them.
Located approximately 11 miles outside of Duck Creek Village, in the Elk Ridge community at the corner of the 14 & 89. Approximately 2 hours from the north rim of the Grand Canyon and 1/2 hour from both Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks. Many hiking trails and scenic area to explore.
