great multigenerational getaway

  • 5 of 5

I took my extended family to this property for my mother's 80th birthday. It is a perfect setting for such an event. The multiplicity and variety of activities and the beauty of the home and the setting make it a home run. The kitchen works great as does the grill and we enjoyed a family olympics with pingpong, basketball, shuffleboard, corn hole, bocci and volleyball. Only recommendation would be thicker window treatments in the bedrooms on the east side of the house, unless you want to get up with the sun each morning. Thanks for all your assistance and for sharing your home with us.

Owner's Response: Dear Laura, We are delighted that you all enjoyed your stay at our vacation home. We are grateful for guests that take such good care of our special place and take time to give us unbiased feedback. We do love the natural woven blinds to which you refer, however we agree that they need a darkening liner with the Eastern exposure. We will replace them over the winter 2016 with something as aesthetically pleasing, but more functional. Thanks again for selecting our property for your stay.

Best Vacation Ever!

  • 5 of 5

This house was everything we could have hoped for.....and more! The house is beautifully decorated with so many amenities but also very inviting and comfortable. It was a great destination for our entire family....grandparents, aunts, uncles and a lots of kids. We loved the patio, beach and the great screened in porch for dining (it also had a great view of the lake.) The sunsets were spectacular every night. So much to do-lake activities, cute nearby towns, wineries- really something for everyone. We will definitely be returning!

Paradise

  • 5 of 5

Was hard to leave. Next time booking earlier for the full stay. Beautiful, breathtaking home with great spaces and awesome kitchen! Great/family room is like nothing I've ever seen. All our family had their own rooms with plenty of space to spread out. The view, sunsets, fun stuff in the back are awesome. Owners so helpful and accommodating. No hassles. No issues. Appreciated the communication when we had questions. And CLEAN! Everything was so clean!

Will def be back. Some exploring we didn't get to do...must see Sleeping Bear Dunes. Heard it is unbelievable. But it's hard to actually leave this awesome house and lake front it's so cool. thx Elk Lake people!

Loved this Elk Lake home!

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome place to rent! We loved staying in this spacious upscale home. The property it is located on is as amazing as the home itself. The beach and lake are just gorgeous. Elk Lake is the most amazing shade of blue and the water is so clear. Sitting on the porch and watching the spectacular sunsets was one of our favorite things to do (especially with a glass of wine in hand). We also appreciated that it was an easy drive into town when we wanted to go out to dinner. It was fun touring all the small towns that are in such close proximity. Thank you for sharing your property and making the rental process so easy!
