About the property

Cute apartment that is ideal for a single or couple. Very reasonably priced!

This cozy one bedroom apartment offers a full size kitchen & living/dining room. The comfortable bedroom has a queen size bed, walk-in closet with safe and is steps from the large bath with tiled walk-in shower. This apartment also features a washer/dryer in the unit. This is a first floor, one level unit, but it is not handicapped accessible. Great location and you will feel like you will never want to leave. This unit has only one bed and the sofa does not make into an extra bed.

This is a first floor unit with no steps.

About Camela Zimmerman

This apartment is located in a small building where I have my personal resident and rent out the other apartments. I have lived in New Orleans for over 20 years and take great pride in showing off our beautiful city to our guests. I travel extensively myself and I try very hard to give our guests the experience that I would want to have.

Camela Zimmerman purchased this apartment in 2014

Why Camela Zimmerman chose New Orleans

Because this is also my home, I take very good care of the apartments and keep a close eye on the safety of the area and building. We take pride in our beautiful units and do not over book just to make a dollar. These apartments are the cream of the crop.

What makes this apartment unique

This property is close enough to all attractions in the French Quarter to walk everywhere. However, it is just far enough away from the chaos that can be Bourbon Street to actually enjoy a little down time when its needed. You can sleep at night in our very comfortable beds without the consent noise that sometimes is present in other parts of the Quarter.

Magnifique!

Comfortable and cozy. Cam has everything anyone would need here, including amenities. The place is adorable and in a great location across the street from Louis Armstrong park and about a 15 minute walk to Jackson Square. I love it and hope I can make it a new tradition!

Bayou Classic!!!

One word... AMAZING!!!! We truly enjoyed our stay here!! Our Host Cam was awesome! She was there at the condo awaiting our arrival and gave us a tour and left us some welcoming gifts. The location was great. It's in a safe location (esp. with the police department lol).. but yeah the room was laid out spaciously, and from top to bottom everything in the apartment was spotless! I was shocked that as close as it is to the street we really didn't hear the street traffic and or passersby. This made the stay even better! Not to mention the parking is gated! we could go on and on, but yes we will surely be back to stay again!!! thanks again g for sharing such a wonderful place with everyone!

Great anniversary stay ..even for a Falcons fan!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay! The condo was clean, fully loaded, and cute. We need to give a shout out to our host Cam! Our host gave us great suggestions on what to do and where to go. We also met one of the other owners, Bruce, who graciously gave us a celebratory bottle of aged wine..totally unexpected. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and decided to catch a little football of the Saints vs the Falcons in New Orleans. Though the falcons didn't win... the BIG EASY had many other options to please the traveler. Our stay was at the top of the French Quarters with easy access to ALL of the fun. Cam recommended a fantastic place to eat...GW Fins. We are already planning our trip for next year and this time with our kids..same place. You will not be disappointed with a stay here.

Disappointment

  • 3 of 5

I booked the condo as part of a birthday surprise for my husband. Although the overall the condo itself was very nice, the air conditioner stopped working the day after we arrived. We tried many times to call, text the phone number and email used to communicate with the owner the day before. There was no response at all until over 24 hours later. The temperature even at night rose to the 80's indoor. We were unable to sleep that second evening and I finally contacted VRBO (at about 12am), who gave me another number to try. There again, was no response at that point. The next day I contacted VRBO again around 9am and they were able to get the owner and put me through to her. She said she never got any of my emails, texts or phone messages (a little hard to believe). She did move us to another property she owned in the building, but we were exhausted and I have to admit it put a damper on our little get away. She did apologize, but I have to admit I was disappointed with her handling of the situation. If it was me, I would have at least refunded the day and a half we spent without air conditioning or offered a day or two on her next time we were in the area.

Little Slice of Home!!!

  • 5 of 5

Upon our arrival, we were met by our most gracious hostess Cam...what a wonderful Lady! Check in was swift & smooth & my first thought after our walk through, was "I could live here". The condo was just adorable!..well stocked, clean & spacious. Although our condo faced Rampart street, the noise was minimal & once inside you couldn't hear anything at night & little during the day. The condo it's self was absolutely perfect for our visit!.. The décor was so cute & the bed was so comfortable I didn't even miss my Tempurpedic at home! Everything is an easy walk (2-6 blks to Bourbon St, Jackson Square or Canal St) or you can catch a taxi right outside the gate which is very cheap to ride anywhere you want to go in the French Quarter. As our condo was the smallest, I also had an opportunity to check out a larger unit she had that other family were staying in & it also was simple amazing! However, this one had plenty of room for 2 people to move around easily & I just can't say enough about how cute & comfortable it was. Thank you to our wonderful hostess, Cam! So in conclusion, YES, YES!!, I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a home away from home while in NOLA! You won't regret it! We will be staying here again on our next visit to the "Big Easy".

Great value; great location

  • 5 of 5

I was very pleased upon arrival to discover that the apartment looked even better in person than the pictures. It was very spacious, comfortable, and clean. Check in and out were very easy. The grocery store was only a few blocks away, so I was able to use the kitchen to make my own breakfast every morning. But the entire French Quarter is a short walk away, so you certainly wouldn't need to. The only (very, very small) concern was that the Wi-Fi didn't work in the apartment, only in the courtyard. But Cam responded very quickly when I raised this to her. While it wasn't fixed while I was there, the lack doesn't impede my positive review of the property.

The whole world knows that Bourbon Street is one of the main attractions in New Orleans. However, the French Quarter has amazing shopping, outstanding restaurants and music venues. New Orleans is also deemed the most haunted city in America, so plan on taking a Ghost Tour and visiting the 'Cities of the Dead.'
