About Camela Zimmerman
This apartment is located in a small building where I have my personal resident and rent out the other apartments. I have lived in New Orleans for over 20 years and take great pride in showing off our beautiful city to our guests. I travel extensively myself and I try very hard to give our guests the experience that I would want to have.
Camela Zimmerman purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Camela Zimmerman chose Mid-City District
Because this is also my home, I take very good care of the apartments and keep a close eye on the safety of the area and building. We take pride in our beautiful units and do not over book just to make a dollar. These apartments are the cream of the crop.
What makes this Apartment unique
This property is close enough to all attractions in the French Quarter to walk everywhere. However, it is just far enough away from the chaos that can be Bourbon Street to actually enjoy a little down time when its needed. You can sleep at night in our very comfortable beds without the consent noise that sometimes is present in other parts of the Quarter.

Better than a hotel
We stayed here for the last two nights of a week long road trip from Houston to New Orleans. We had considered a hotel in the French Quarter but decided to go with Cam's rental and are so glad we did! This is an easy location to get to off the I-10 and short walking distance to the French Quarter. We were able to safely park our rental car in the gated lot, and didn't have to worry about moving it until check out. The condo is fully equipped with everything you would need, very spacious for two people, and surprisingly quiet in the bedroom at night. Street noise can be a bit loud if you are sitting in the front room, but that wasn't surprising. Cam was also accomodating with letting us check in early and check out late, as there was no one booked before or after us immediately. Would definitely recommend this rental to others!
Perfect location. Very clean. Host was great. Would definitely stay here again.
Cam was fantastic and the location was excellent!
Cam couldn’t have been more accommodating. The condo is conveniently located to Bourbon Street and all else New Orleans has to offer. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else!!
Great place, convenient location!
This was our second time coming to New Orleans and staying in the Quarter - different property through VRBO this time, and just as excellent as the first!
Convenient location - just a short 10 minute stroll to Bourbon/Royal, far enough to be quiet and cozy
Great amount of space - really rare to find a full kitchen or something more than a studio for this price in this area, so if you're looking to cook some of your meals like breakfast, this is a great choice (if you go that way, recommend walking to Rouse's market to get your supplies)
Inexpensive and the owner is easy breezy to work with (she was also kind enough to stock up some coffee and creamer for the first day or two to get you by until you had a chance to buy more)
Might be a little further of a walk than some people would like - there are closer properties, but we really didn't mind the extra block or two to get a nicer place for the same price (or often less)
If you're a light sleeper, the windows do face right on Rampart and there can be some traffic noises in the morning - could be a bother to some, but we're from New York City, so that type of noise just didn't bug us one bit!
Comfortable and cozy. Cam has everything anyone would need here, including amenities. The place is adorable and in a great location across the street from Louis Armstrong park and about a 15 minute walk to Jackson Square. I love it and hope I can make it a new tradition!
The whole world knows that Bourbon Street is one of the main attractions in New Orleans. However, the French Quarter has amazing shopping, outstanding restaurants and music venues. New Orleans is also deemed the most haunted city in America, so plan on taking a Ghost Tour and visiting the 'Cities of the Dead.'
