4 Bedroom, 2 Bath, Large Deck & Covered Porch, Close to Whitefish & Glacier Park
Bright, spacious, family & pet friendly home situated among numerous 100 foot pine trees on a lovely country acre. Have morning coffee, a BBQ or sun-bathe on a large deck offering stunning views of the Swan Range, Country Lake, and surrounding forests.
At this beautiful property which is close to downtown Whitefish, Glacier National Park, several large lakes and whitewater rivers, 2 golf courses, 2 ski resorts, endless back-country roads and hundreds of miles of hiking trails and bike paths, you're sure to find the perfect Montana experience.
Our home can sleep 8-10 people. We have four bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs, (three with queen beds, and one with two twins beds) and a futon couch in the family room which converts into a very comfortable full-sized bed. There are two full bathrooms and plenty of towels and linens. There are laminate floors throughout much of the house.
Upstairs there is a large living room with a picture window facing the mountains and lake adjacent to the dining area with a table that can seat up to 8 people (10 if a couple of them are junior-sized). The large, cheery kitchen has plenty of counter space and is fully stocked with all the appliances, tableware, utensils and cookware you will need to whip up some memorable vacation meals.
Downstairs is a spacious family room with cable TV, Wii, DVD and VCR, along with a large selection of movies for all tastes, from Disney to Drama to Documentary. We provide lots of board games and puzzles for family game nights. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer for your use.
The large yard is fenced (pets permitted, on approval) with a fire ring and plenty of wood where you can sit outside and enjoy S'mores and scary stories by the fire, or relax with a bottle of wine after a great day of recreating and exploring the beauty of northwest Montana.
As an added bonus, we have a canoe, several kayaks, camping gear and other outdoor gear available for use by our guests.
Best of all, from our convenient location, you are minutes from endless adventure and natural beauty. Experience the glory of Glacier National Park (don't forget your bear spray!), get exhilarated (and wet!) on a whitewater rafting or kayaking adventure, sunbath and swim at the beach on gorgeous Whitefish Lake, ski or snowboard the day away at the world-class Whitefish Mountain Resort (or check out their zipline and mountain bike and hiking trails in the summer), golf (or cross-country ski) at the Whitefish Lake Golf Course, go fly fishing (or ice fishing) in one of our many beautiful rivers or lakes, stroll through art galleries, antique stores and local shops in charming Whitefish by day and at night, gear up for its exceptional theater, symphony, and vibrant music, dancing and bar scene. All this and much, much more are within minutes of your vacation home.

About Janice Mazur
In the summer of 2002, the Mazur family set off from their home in southern California in an RV on their long-planned Great American Roadtrip through the Western United States. As fortune would have it, while passing through Montana, they wandered into Whitefish for breakfast one morning and immediately fell in love with the beautiful, friendly, laid-back town. Within a year, they had packed up their house in So-Cal (along with 2 kids, three dogs, four cats and a snake), and returned to Whitefish for good. Now, more than ten years later, the kids are grown and off to college and the Empty-Nesters don't need so much space anymore. So, we welcome you to our home and hope you enjoy it as much as we have! The owners are local and always available to offer ideas for great things to do in the Last Best Place.

What a wonderful home in a perfect location!
Janice - thank you for making us feel so at home. Enjoyed being close to Glacier Nat'l Park as well as having quick access to Whitefish and Kalispell. Relaxing on decks in early morning with a coffee, and evening dining alfresco was an extra special treat. And the large fenced grassy garden meant our dog had plenty of space to play with Mickey! They are BFF's for sure. We'll be back!
A bit older property but location just off 93, central to Whitefish and Kalispell area is convenient
House is in a quiet neighborhood - no sidewalks but walking on road is not dangerous. There are houses all around but other than dogs barking or occasional car, you can find peace and quiet.
Nice big fenced yard if you travel with children or dogs. Owner lives on property and has a nice dog.
Covered deck on front works no matter the weather - has propane heater for cooler temps. Back deck gets plenty of light but has no steps to back yard. Grill is on back deck. Kitchen and dining area is adequate size, comfortable for 6 adults. Living room has seating again good for 6 adults. Main level also has 2 Bedrooms sharing a bath. 1 bedroom has a dresser but other one doesn't. Decent number of hangers in closets.
Dishes for 8, silverware for 8 and glasses and mugs 8+ - so you will have to do dishes after every meal. Standard supplies provided.
Downstairs is TV room, 2 bedrooms sharing bath, laundry room and access to yard. Futon sofa is very uncomfortable. Lounge chair is very comfortable but limited seating for TV viewing.
Wifi works well. Basic cable for TV. Only 1 TV for house and no computer means being more creative to keep family entertained when at house. There are puzzles and smattering of games and videos, as described.
Both bathrooms are tub with shower. There are no grab bars if you are older and don't like stepping into a tub. We knew to bring our own suction grab bar. Only single sink in each which makes sharing interesting.
Owner is pleasant and knowledgeable about area. She's collected a lot of area info for your perusal. She didn't mind getting quizzed about activities and restaurants nearby.
On the down side Glacier and Going-to-the-Sun Road are unpredictable - wildfires closed west side. Smoke impacted the entire vacation - horrible visibility. Long 3+ hour drive to East Glacier/St Mary's side of Glacier. So always have a backup plan.
Comfortable home away from home
This property is ideally located near Glacier National Park, restaurants, museums and shops. The home is very comfortable, both indoors and out, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The owners are very personable and responsive to any questions or requests. We highly recommend this property for couples or families who are vacationing in the area.
