Very nice, well appointed rental with beautiful views off the deck.

Great location, close to Durango, Mancos, Mesa Verde and Phil's World. Beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. The large back deck was the perfect place to begin or end your day, and the overall location was quiet and peaceful.

Lovely home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed two nights here and it was a very nice, peaceful retreat during our two week road trip in Colorado. The house is beautiful. The deck is nice and large and almost always had birds surrounding the bird feeder. My daughter enjoyed the well stocked kitchen and made dinner one night and breakfast the next morning. We were near the end of our trip and she was excited to be cooking once more, instead of eating out...again. Thank you, Missy and Jack for sharing your lovely home with us.

A treasure in the country

  • 5 of 5

What a treasure this home is!! Very comfortable and quaint with a cool piece of history absolutely everywhere you look. The beds are very cozy and each room is very nice. We enjoyed grilling on the beautiful deck and walking around the grounds. The home has everything you need, utensils, pots and pans and cleaning supplies. We did not find the pool but really didn't have time to enjoy that anyway. All was very clean and well maintained and is a short distance from Mesa Verde. It only took us about 20 minutes to get to the entrance to the park. The closest grocery store is around 20 minutes away as well so be sure to stock up on your way in. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting. It is amazing!!

Beauty of nature with all the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

We did a family reunion at the Marshall place with a son coming from Utah and a daughter and son-in-law from Texas. We all loved the location and enjoyed sitting on the deck, looking at the mountains, surrounded by a constant cloud of humming birds. Inside the house was everything we could have wanted: lots of space, a well stocked and provisioned kitchen all wrapped in a wonderful western decor. It was a great stay and Jack was quick to help out when needed. We loved Mesa Verde, and spending time on the nearby Mc Phee Reservoir. There are a lot more things to do than time to do them. Hope to be back!

Great Vacation Home!

  • 5 of 5

Great location. Great house. We really enjoyed our week! We grilled and used the fire pit almost every night. The house is setup very well for a group. It seemed that The owners had thought of everything we would need for the week. There were mountain bikes, maps of hiking trails, books on area attractions and more. The house was our base for exploring the Four Corners region. The kitchen was fully stocked right down to filters and coffer for the coffee maker. The TV, DVD player and wireless internet all worked great. We loved the hummingbirds!

We highly recommend this property and plan to come back in a few years!
