We loved our week in the Isle of Palms. The location of 2 Sandy is perfect and the house so comfortable for our family of 5. We've already booked for next year!
Great home base for a relaxing time while seeing the sites and sampling the cuisine of Charleston SC
My family of four (me, my husband, daughter age 10, and son age 8) stayed at Too Sandy in April 2014.
Location: The location was outstanding. The beach is clean and a delightful place to spend the day. In addition to swimming and playing in the sand, we also enjoyed riding bicycles on the beach at low tide. The beach is only a short distance from the house, less than a 5 minute walk, but when you are at the house you feel like you have escaped the hustle and bustle of the people on the beach. The house is located in a quiet, well maintained neighborhood. The neighborhood pool was nothing to brag about, but honestly we were there for the beach and not the pool. The house is located within a 30 minute drive of everything you could want, including downtown Charleston, mini-golf, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
House: This is a great house for a family of four. Would likely work well for a family of 5, however I think it would start to feel crowded beyond that. The house is all one level with parking under the house. The house was clean, well furnished, and very comfortable. A Keurig machine would have been nice for my morning coffee, but otherwise we found all of the pots, pans, and appliances that we needed. The washer and dryer worked well and was useful to have. The kids loved having tvs in their bedrooms. The best part of the house was the deck. The house is situated between two “first row” houses in just the right way so that there is a nice view of the ocean. If you want a full view of the ocean, pay the money for first row. For our needs however, the view was beautiful. We also enjoyed eating dinner on the screened in porch. Overall we would absolutely stay in this house again.
