The Coastside does not have convenient public transportation and a car is ideal for getting around the coast and connecting to other parts of the Bay Area. This is part of what keeps our Coastside relatively undeveloped and natural. There is a BART from Colma or Daly City which will take you to San Francisco and the east Bay (Berkeley and Oakland). There is also a local taxi service. Buses do connect within walking distance but are infrequent.
