The Bryant Street guesthouse is an industrial loft style with exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors with in-floor radiant heat, and all the modern conveniences. Our guesthouse was originally built in the 1800's and was converted to its current use in 2014.
The guesthouse is it's own detached building on our property. It's got a funky industrial loft look and has all the features you'd expect of a brand new renovation. It's an open concept layout with a large walk-in closet behind the sleeping area. The kitchen is well stocked and all new cabinets and appliances. There is a fenced-in shared yard space with seating area.
Located in the heart of Lohi, Denver's hottest neighborhood, we're a short 10 minute walk to downtown. Or hop on our cruiser bikes and cruise the neighborhood, head downtown, or take a ride along the Platte River bike trail. We're located within walking distance of some of Denver's best restaurants and happy hour spots. Within 1-3 block range we have great places for foodies, including gourmet burgers, two fine dining establishments, a sit-down pizza place, a french bakery, several coffee shops and a frozen yogurt place. There are also a couple of fun bars with a couple blocks, and several more within a 5-10 minute walk.
We have FREE private off-street parking right in front of our guesthouse.
Owners live on-site in separate building and are available for recommendations, directions or happy hour!
I've lived in Denver for most of my life and Damon came to attend college 20+ years ago and never left. Clearly we both love this city! We especially love living in such a hip, urban neighborhood like Lohi. We are foodies who enjoy the local restaurants and bars and we love that we can walk just about anywhere we need to go. We absolutely love our house and our guesthouse. It's often referred to as our "private little Garden of Eden" by our guests and we agree. We love hosting people in our guesthouse, and look forward to meeting travelers and helping them feel as comfortable and at home as possible while in Denver. We're a great resource for where to eat, who has the best happy hour, or what to do and see in Denver. We also love traveling and getting to know the people from all over the world. We're heavily involved in the ever-changing real estate market in Denver, both buying and selling and as home builders. If you're coming to Denver with hopes of moving here we'll be happy to show you around!
Damon Decker and Marcie Steele purchased this bungalow in 2010
The guesthouse was originally built in late 1800's as stables for horses and carriages in the neighborhood. It's located on a 'carriage lot', meaning that it's tucked away in the center of the block. It was later converted to garages, and now we've renovated it into a very special place for our guests. The original brick walls remain, but everything else is new. You'll never know that this used to be anything other than the amazing space it is now, but knowing the history makes it even more fun!
The Highlands/Lohi area is a great urban neighborhood with many great destinations within walking distance. There are GREAT restaurants for foodies and nationally ranked bars for those seeking fun nightlife. The guesthouse also has two cruiser-style bikes for your enjoyment and to make it even easier to enjoy the neighborhood.
My wife and I had the privilege of staying in Damon and Marcie's property for 4 days. The property was beyond what we expected and perfect for our pre-holiday get out of town trip. We took great advantage of the easy walk to all points downtown and beyond so much so that we didn't interact much with the hosts but this gives you an idea of what a great spot this is.
Great restaurants and easy going vibe made the neighborhood more than expected.
We will return in the future.
Pristine and comfortable with every possible extra included. Marcie & Damon's space was more then what we expected. The off street free parking was an excellent perk in the LoHi area. We highly recommend staying here if you're looking to be within walking distance from Downtown Denver. We will definitely be returning.
We arrived later than originally planned - the owners were quick to answer my email and had the place open and waiting for us. The house was clean and inviting. The location is close to everything we wanted to see...will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Denver!!
I have stayed at VRBO/Home Away properties all over the West Coast and Colorado, and the Bryant Street Guest House is far above them all. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and in the cutest walking neighborhood in Denver. If I needed to travel, I used LYFT easily...waiting 2 minutes at the most for my ride!
Marcie has such a wonderful eye for decorating and takes great pride in making her guests welcome. The details are amazing and eco friendly. Be sure to take your time looking at all of the wonderful touches when you visit. I truly did not want to leave. Be sure to give Miss Daisy a hug...sweetest pup. Finally...this California girl fell in love with the amazing autumn colors. Denver is beautiful in October...I'll be back.
We loved this VBRO property. The decor was amazing and it was an exceptionally comfortable space as well. The location was perfect and accessible to all activities in Denver. Our hosts were wonderful as well. Loved the experience!
This little gem is outstanding. Classy owners, perfect location, super clean and fully loaded! Based on your age, you will get nostalgic and bring back some good memories the minute you step in. I went with my 11 year old daughter and we both loved it. We walked out for dinner every evening. Very safe place with lots of trendy restaurants. The place comes stocked with everything. I think we could have just brought our clothes and everything else was already in its place. Just like at home. Top of the line upgrades throughout the place along with the retro look you had back in college. If you want to experience the Highlands, you've found your place:)
