We recently shared this rental with friends for the weekend and Wow! What an amazing experience!
The home easily fit our group of 6 adults and 3 children - the living space was HUGE and allowed us all to spread out very comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked (everything we needed to serve a large bbq on the deck) and the outdoor space was amazing - we loved grilling and eating lunches & dinners on the deck overlooking the lake! We spent most of the afternoon wading into the lake from shore and the water was so clear, clean and warm! My son & I loved floating on tubes near the dock, and my husband enjoyed kayaking. At the end of the day, relaxing around the campfire pit was perfect!
All the rooms were very well maintained with quality furniture and bedding; the loft bedroom was absolutely gorgeous, and the queen rooms were nicely furnished too. Even the bunk beds (which we stayed in) were super comfortable! I was amazed at the attention to detail, bits of character (like the spiral staircase & rustic wood mantle) and overall craftsmanship of this home.
This property is in a great location - just minutes from several wineries! - and the wine tasting cards are such a nice touch! We would certainly stay here again, and will definitely be recommending to friends!
This home accommodated our family of 8 adults pretty well - even with only two bathrooms. The location was nice - especially to watch the sunsets - deck fit us all for outdoor dining, and the table inside fit us all well when the weather was not so great. The house was well equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware and glassware. This house does need a really good cleaning however! The microfiber sectional sofa was so heavily stained -really gross. It had been vacuumed, but that was not nearly enough. We found some extra blankets in the closets that we used to cover it -otherwise no one would have sat on it. Two of the upstairs bedrooms were carpeted and the carpeting probably needed to be steam cleaned - smelled of either dogs or dirty socks - kind of gross when it got warm in the house. The bathtub upstairs did not drain well, so by the end of even the shortest shower, you were ankle deep in water. When you flushed the toilet in the first floor bathroom, it gurgled up into the bath - at least that shower drained well. For the price I expected a bit higher quality bed coverings and towels - but they were clean and sufficient. None of us were enthusiastic about swimming in the water - because of the prevailing winds, much of the natural debris in the water washed up towards the shoreline - but did use our kayaks. Garbage pick ups are Friday, we arrived on Sunday and were left with already full garbage can and overflowing recycling bin. The street got very unsightly with all the boxes and bags of cans/bottles. With a good cleaning this could be an adequate rental.
