Lakefront, Family Friendly, Remote Cabin Feel

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,350 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms. 1 Bathroom.

This classic cabin is the perfect get-away for families looking for a quiet weekend at the lake.

Don’t be fooled by its close proximity to the Twin Cities. While Victoria and it's surrounding communities are growing suburbs, Lake Pierson has managed to preserve it's small town, cabin feel. As you turn on off the main road heading toward the lake, you'll get a few miles to drive through farmland and dirt roads. This is the perfect amount of time to leave it all behind and get in to cabin mode.

Lake Pierson is perfect for all types of water recreation, including swimming, boating and excellent fishing.

The cabin is well-cared for, clean and cozy with a beautiful view of the lake and plenty of space to relax. Enjoy meals on the deck, read or play cards on the 3-season porch. There is rec room with a pool table in the basement, and a backyard big enough for sports and games.

The city of Victoria is less than 10 minutes away. This is convenient for grocery runs, restaurants or the bait shop. For the active family, the cabin is only a few minutes from Deer Run Golf Course, public tennis courts, and biking trails.

If you simply want to get away from it all, take the back roads to the local Dairy Queen or visit the farm stand a few miles away to pick up organic fruits, vegetables and homemade treats.

Wonderful Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed spending three days at the cabin. It was very clean and "felt like home." Great space for conversation both inside and outside. The dock area provided fun fishing and water play for everyone. The swim float and paddle boards were used often. We liked the flat grassy area behind the home, which we used for playing yard games. We had a super fun time, and would not hesitate to stay there again. The owner was very kind to us, as well.

Private lake front close to MSP airport

  • 4 of 5

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Lucia's lake front property. My kids aged 14, 12, 12, and 12 spent most of their time enjoying the BEAUTIFUL lake. My kids took advantage of the canoe and several paddle boards. Life jackets and fishing poles were readily available. Some people call it "fishing" but what my kiddos and I were doing we call "catching" !! We caught crappies, sun fish and trout and we are not what you call seasoned fisherman by any means of the imagination......awesome !! We stayed at Lucia's house in mid July and there were NEVER more than 6-7 boats or jet skis on the lake at one time.

The lake front property was easy to get to from MSP airport and had a very small town feel, yet close to modern conveniences, such as grocery stores, restaurants, and a sporting goods store. The cabin itself was very well stocked with family games, towels, condiments, blankets and a laundry facility.

We spent evenings enjoying the weather in the screened in porch. We even got to see quite a few 'frogs' and ' lightning bugs' !

Inside the house there was plenty of room and our family of 6 NEVER felt cramped or confined. If you are looking for a "rustic cabin feel" property right on the lake with a small town feel and AMAZING views off your porch you will find it here. The pictures on VRBO accurately reflect what the property looks like and you will not be disappointed.

If there was one item we had not really prepared for it was the WIFI situation. The cabin has WIFI available on request. On vacation we look forward to NO electronics which is nice but sometimes it is necessary. We did well without it but ultimately needed some WIFI work communicate with the owner Lucia about the WIFI and you should be ok.

We had a wonderful family trip to Lucia's place. We made some awesome family memories and will try to come back next year. Lucia made the whole rental process very easy. I would recommend this property to any family looking for a quiet, fun, get back to nature type of vacation. Thank you Lucia for being such a pleasant host.
