This beautiful house worked perfectly for us...three generations. Enough room for kids to play while others read, and some chilled out on the screened-in back porch. The pool was only a half-block away, easy enough to get to but far enough away to eliminate the worry of little ones escaping to it. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed for meals (good grille, double ovens, dining table that opened to seat 12, more than ample dishes, glasses, cutlery)......and for recreation (bikes, beach chairs, games, etc.) The surf at Rehoboth Beach is pretty rough very close to shore, so we were relieved that we had the pool as an alternative for the young ones (ages 3, 5 and 7). Shopping in Rehoboth is plentiful although traffic is horrendous as is the constant meter feeding. All that aside, we were very pleased with this rental. We also used Coastal Rentals for linens and towels and they were terrific.
Beautiful home, VERY spacious, clean. Quiet area. Easy, fast travel to beach/boardwalk. Close to Ferrry that takes you to Cape May. Bikes provided for easy travel and for taking the scenic bike trail, not far from the house. Half block to big pool, another pool on other side of house. Workout room in clubhouse by pool. All convienent. Close to the MANY outlets, stores and restaurant. Close to beautiful town of Lewes-Ferry is there, but so are some nice shops and restaurants. Nothing bad to say about this absolutely gorgous home.
Great house, surprised to see there are no other reviews yet. The house is probably under 5 years old, in great shape, with all the modern conveniences. The pictures are exactly how the place looks like.
Short 10 min drive to the beach, parking by the beach was not an issue as we parked on side streets instead of Rehoboth Ave. The parking app was better/easier than expected. Close to the outlets but away from the busy shops. The location is great if you don't need to be on the beach.
Back to the house, it's in a new development. In fact there are houses being built all around including next door but the noise was minimal inside, didn't bother us at all. There's a nice community pool just behind the house, less than a minute walk away. We were there more than the beach as we have more younger kids. It was never crowded there at all. Lots of parking spaces around the street of the house.
Big rooms, and the bathrooms are conveniently located. Small 32" TV in the big living room. Also my brother in law had to log in to work while at the house, the WiFi router does not have a good signal past 15ft. And from using a wifi scanner app, there are multiple wireless networks in the vicinity which causes channel interference. If you plan on using your laptop, bring an ethernet cable or a stronger router.
Garbage and recycling pickup was confusing because there is a pickup schedule inside the garage but it's different from the schedule/welcome binder inside the house. We tried to followed the schedule but the trash was picked up once, but not at all for recyclables. I felt bad leaving with the trash and recycling almost full but it was just like that when we checked in.
Vicinity to Pool
Checkin time 3-5pm on a summer Saturday (traffic, go very early or very late)
Confusing garbage pickup schedule
Weak/Slow WiFi router
