The A-frame cabin is a spacious, 1800 sq.ft., 2 story lake-view getaway situated on 37 privately owned acres. It has recently been updated with new siding, paint, windows and patio door. The first floor has a large open kitchen, dining area, living room with a queen size pullout couch. There is also a full bathroom and private bedroom with a queen bed. A sliding glass door opens up onto the lake-view patio from the living area. Out on the patio there is a table, 14 outdoor chairs, and a charcoal grill. Also, behind the patio is a fire pit with plenty of wood to burn provided by the owner. Upstairs there is a second 3/4 bathroom, private bedroom with queen bed and a large bunk room that has 4 full size beds. The bunk room opens up to a small lake-view landing with stairs going down to the outdoor lower patio. A portion of the 37 acres is mowed and the rest is wooded. There are mowed trails for hiking and exploring the woods. Two ponds are also on the property. Fishing is allowed but you will have to go to the lake to swim. Access to the lake is 5 minutes away at Pettit Bay Campground. There is a field maze mowed into the property. The maze is great fun and may even be challenging for some. Just in case there is a storm warning during your stay, there is a storm shelter available on the property. Another vacation rental we own, is down the hill from the A-frame. The log cabin vacation rental sleeps six and it can be viewed at listing #693135. If you love the outdoors, want to be minutes away from the lake, or just want to get a feel of rural living, come stay at the A-frame at Pettit Mountain Ranch.

About Pam Pulliam
My husband and I have lived on Pettit Mountain for 30+ years. We have raised our children on Tenkiller Lake and love the beautiful and peaceful surroundings.
Pam Pulliam purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Pam Pulliam chose Pettit
This property was previously part of a Girl Scout camp. We purchased the property in 2013 and felt like the a-frame cabin would be an ideal place for families to come and stay to enjoy Tenkiller Lake and the surrounding area of northeast Oklahoma. The cabin is located on 37 gated acres. A portion of the property is mowed and the rest is wooded. There are mowed trails for hiking and exploring the woods. Two ponds are also on the property. Fishing is allowed but you will have to go the the lake to swim. Access to the lake is 5 minutes away at Pettit Bay Campground. There is also a field maze mowed into the property. I still have trouble finding my way out of the maze. Just in case there is a storm warning during your stay, there is a storm shelter available on the property. If you love the outdoors, want to be minutes away from the lake, or just want to get a feel of rural living, come stay at the a-frame at Pettit Mountain Ranch.
What makes this Cabin unique
This property has a nice view of Tenkiller Lake. It is peaceful and quiet. The whole 37 acres is beautiful. Deer and other wildlife can be observed year round. The a-frame is very family friendly, spacious and comfortable. We want your family or group to come and enjoy the lake and the activities of northeastern Oklahoma.

Great place for large family or multiple families
The little touches are what does it for this place. Firewood for campfire even a basket of s’mores fixings. Great view of lake and close to river or lake. We had a blast!
Perfect place to be for a visit to Lake Tenkiller!
I highly recommend this property for a visit to Lake Tenkiller! The house is about 15 minutes away from Burnt Cabin Marina one direction and about 15 minutes away from restaurants, Reasor’s and Walmart in the other direction. We saw white-tailed deer from our front yard. The kids loved the maze. The golden retriever loved the pond. We all loved the campfire and view of the lake. Everything we needed was provided from coffee filters to bath towels to a toaster. There were only four of us, but the house could accommodate 10-12 people easily and comfortably (only limited by having to share two small bathrooms). The house is perfectly clean. Be sure to bring slippers if you come during cold weather…the floor gets cold. We were only an hour and 20 minutes from Tulsa, but felt a world away. We’ll be back!
Perfect for my family.
I love the land it’s on. So relaxing to just enjoy nature and amazing view.
Our grandkids will not forget this experience..the whole family enjoyed this place ..probably will be a regular stop if Pam allows us to!!
Labor Day weekend 2017
The property was much more than I expected. You never know what to expect form an A frame house. But is was spacious, well built, clean and a great layout and use of space. The 37 acre property was neatly maintained and very private except for the deer that wandered through every morning.
A great place for a family reunion or a weekend get away! Loved it.
Exceptional property at a great price. One of very few vacation rentals that can accommodate a large family and still have room to rest, relax and have fun. The setting was absolutely beautiful and very private. Thank you so much Pam for your attention to details and also making the rental process simple and painless. All our needs were taken care of and everyone enjoyed the stay.
There are boat rentals, marinas with floating restaurants and parks with swimming areas all available within minutes of the cabin. The city of Tahlequah, located 20 minutes away, offers theaters, downtown shopping, restaurants, museums, golfing and antiquing. Visitors can also enjoy the many festivals that go on throughout the year, such as; the Tahlequah Red Fern festival, the Cookson Jubilee festival and the Fin and Feather craft show, just to name a few.
