3 Bedrooms, 2 1/2 Baths with Mountain Views amid Rock Outcroppings

A beautiful mountain home on a wooded property in a residential setting surrounded by other private homes. Home is located on side of Little Prospect Mountain surrounded with huge rock outcroppings, Ponderosa & Blue Spruce pine trees. Stunning two story ceilings in Living Room with a wall of glass to showcase the mountain views along with a gas fireplace. The two story living room windows are open to allow the best viewing. All rooms, including bedrooms, have mountain views. Large deck & deck furniture to enjoy the outdoor scenery.

Due to the need to respect the privacy and solitude of our neighbors, our home is not appropriate for parties, family reunions or large gatherings or get togethers.

Fully equipped kitchen with slab granite, stainless appliances, all dinnerware, utensils, pots & pans, glassware (including wine glasses), dishwasher, side by side refrigerator, drip coffee maker & coffee grinder. Wood flooring in living room, dining & kitchen. Carpet in all bedrooms; Tile in all baths.

King bed in downstairs Master Bedroom; Queen bed in 1st Upstairs Bedroom; 2 twin beds in Third Upper Bedroom. All bedrooms have ceiling fans.

Five piece Master Bath includes 2 person Jacuzzi spa tub with skylights above, twin sinks and separate shower. Second full bath on upper level has shower/tub combination.

Flatscreen televisions in Living Room, Master Bedroom and Queen Upper Bedroom. Free Wi-Fi, DVD Player, iPod/CD Player.

Gas Grill on Deck off of Kitchen.

Separate two car garage.

This is a non-smoking property.


The Special Couples Rate is not offered during the Early Summer & Summer Season Rate Periods (June 1-August 13, 2015).

Also, WE DO NOT CHARGE A CLEANING FEE unless excessive cleaning is required.

Please note: Occasionally we will have shorter stays available between reservations; if so, we are happy to rent our property for less than a six night minimum if it helps to fill an available shorter stay.

About John & Sandy Gilfillan

We moved to Estes Park in 1992 to build and operate The Woodlands on Fall River Suites and RiverWood on Fall River Condominiums. Sandy actually has been coming to Estes Park from Nebraska since she was a baby (way too many years to mention).

This has been our primary home in Estes Park for several years. However, our grandchildren increased in number to the point that we required a larger home in Estes, thus the decision to rent our Audubon house.

We built this home to take advantage of its wonderful mountain views, Blue Spruce & Ponderosa trees, huge rock outcroppings and half-acre mountainside lot.

What makes this house unique

The home offers great amenities, views and gives guests the opportunity to enjoy one of America's best vacation locations while having the advantage of staying in a private home and not a motel or a hotel. Also, this property allows you to walk to town while still enjoying a private sanctuary among the rocks and ponderosa. It is easier to walk down the mountain to town than the trip back up the mountain.

Great RMNP stay!

Truly a wonderful property.

John and Sandy were extremely punctual with all communication, going beyond the normal owner outreach with a phone call the last day of our stay thanking us and confirming all was to our expectations.

The house was immaculately kept, well provisioned, and comfortably appointed.

The location, within walking distance of town, yet well enough removed from the tourist congestion, suited us perfectly.

The quiet neighborhood, sited just above the river, provided terrific mountain vistas to the west, as well as, a nice view overlooking town.

We have been renting vacation properties for over 25 years, and this proved as good an experience as we have ever enjoyed.

We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

This house is absolutely gorgeous and pristine! The owners are very nice and have done a fantastic job of making this house feel like a home. Our family of 5 was very comfortable during our stay. The house's location is convenient to downtown Estes Park as well as the RMNP. We had a wonderful week in Colorado - thank you, John and Sandy!
