About the property

Whether you’re in Sacramento on vacation, visiting family in the area, or here on business, you’ll enjoy my quiet, elegantly-appointed suburban sanctuary from the moment you arrive. This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 1,419 square foot two-story home sleeps six, has central heating and air conditioning, energy-efficient appliances, water-saving features, and security system. It’s located in a safe residential neighborhood in Natomas with easy access to freeways, shopping, downtown, Old Sacramento, and much more. The neighborhood is also very quiet, though sometimes the neighboring dogs can be rambunctious.

Teeming with lush plants, the home features an eclectic Asian-themed living room with 32” HDTV, DirecTV satellite service, AT&T U-Verse 18Mbps Internet, streaming Netflix, stereo, and queen-size sleeper sofa. The dining room area seats six. The kitchen is fully equipped with a four-burner stove, oven, refrigerator, crock pot, Breville juicer, Cuisinart combination blender/food processor, cookware, dishes, utensils (including J.A. Henckels cutlery), wine glasses, etc. There’s also an aquarium in the kitchen for your viewing pleasure. The downstairs has a half bath.

Upstairs the large master bedroom boasts a comfortable Eastern King-size bed with Sleep Number mattress for maximum comfort and en suite full bathroom, while the second bedroom has a newer queen bed and comforter set with full bathroom adjacent. Both bedrooms have ample drawer/closet space.

The third bedroom functions as an office with roll-top desk. Next to the office is the den, a quiet, clubby space that overlooks the living room and is ideal for reading, relaxing, or even napping in the comfy armchair.

The backyard is spacious and open, with wooden patio set and umbrella ready for al fresco relaxing or dining. There is also a 22" Weber charcoal kettle grill with all necessary tools and accessories to enjoy a backyard barbecue. Note that due to the severe ongoing drought in California, there are watering restrictions in place that have taken a toll on the appearance of lawns and yards--including mine--in the area.

Wireless Internet available throughout the house. Please be advised that I no longer maintain a landline phone at my home. Older children (14+) welcome. No pets. No smoking of any kind/vaping. PLEASE NOTE: THE PROPERTY CANNOT ACCOMMODATE MORE THAN SIX (6) PEOPLE.

Within easy proximity to Sacramento is a vast array of local wineries and breweries; hiking/outdoor activities; the San Francisco Bay Area; Lake Tahoe; Reno; and more!

Rates are constant throughout the year--no higher rates for weekends or holidays! Taxes are included in rental rates.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved staying in your house. Everything was clean and well equipped. The master bedroom is large and that bed is nice! Freeway is right nearby for easy access to everything in the area. Nice quiet neighborhood too.

We all had a wonderful time at this beautifully decorated home.

This property was perfect for a weekend stay with family and friends. The owner provided very concise access in structions for the property and was available by phone if we had any questons. Comparing to the cost of a hotel stay for three nights, it was very affordable. The property had everything one would need to prepare meals, do laundry and the sleeping accomodations for everyone was outstanding. There was easy Freeway access in order to travel to the campus of UC Davis and to my daughter's apartment. I would be more than happy to seek this same property for a future stay in the area. Thanks for your hospitality, George.

Very livable and conveniently located

Comfortable exquisitely appointed residence. Located one freeway exit away from the Promenade shopping mall with lots of restaurant and a movie theatre. We spent a relaxing week and enjoyed our stay. Host George is very responsive and helpful.

Great option for a long stay.

We had three people in our party. We were training at a location in downtown. The house is very convenient to the downtown area, and met our needs well. The house is in a working class neighborhood close to I-80. The neighborhood is quiet and I enjoyed the easy access to a run/bike trail nearby. Yes, the neighbor's dog barks when you first go into the back yard, but he calms down quickly. We did use the sofa bed for one person and it was comfortable.

Thu 8/10

The location is very good close to grocery and shopping and the bed rooms are spacy. The rental property is not clean, the showers and toilet are molded, the stove top has not been cleaned for months with thick burned crust layer on the burners, the carpets are stained, the dining room is antique and squeezing with little use and not practical or useful, not enough chairs for comfortable use in the living room other than the sofa bed. The sleeping sofa sponge cushion is very uncomfortable. The pillows are not washed. The owner claims he clean the house himself, the house need professional cleaner. The house has so many nice antique furniture makes it not practical for rental uses.

Owner's Response: This review comes as a great surprise to me. His characterization of my house as dirty is untrue, as I cleaned the whole house just prior to his arrival. As I explained to him upon his departure, what he was noticing was in large part wear from age, not dirt or filth, e.g., dark traffic pattern on white carpet, wear to the colored texture on the stove showing black underneath, and wear on fiberglass shower surrounds. The bathrooms certainly aren't moldy! What's galling about his review is the guest's own violation of my house rules. There was a four-inch urine stain in the upstairs hallway in clear violation of my pet policy. And inexplicably they threw garbage and recyclables together into my yard waste bin!
