About Lake Nebagamon Rental

Three generations of our family have enjoyed and cherished our lake place for seven decades. It has been renovated from a small cabin to a beautiful year-round home we fondly named 'Jack's Lake Place' in memory of the original owner.

Lake Nebagamon Rental purchased this house in 1945

Why Lake Nebagamon Rental chose Lake Nebagamon

Growing up in Superior, WI, for generations we have joined friends and family at the lake for summer fun. In the beginning, our family spent the entire summer at Lake Nebagamon. Now our family enjoys shorter stays and vacations up north. When we can't be there, we want to share Jack's Lake Place with guests.

Fabulous Stay at Lake Nebagamon

  • 5 of 5

What a great house! What a great lake! We were so pleased with our stay at this property. We are a family of six ranging in age from 68-5years old and it was a fantastic week for all of us. The house is a blend of shabby chic/northwoods cabin and was thoughtfully decorated throughout. The photos didn’t do it justice. The beautifully designed newer kitchen had everything we could want from a rental. The upper floor king size bedroom was bright and comfortable and had a loft area with trundle beds for the little ones. That area worked perfectly for son and his wife and their kids. And what a view from the large window of the lake! Granny and Grandpa chose the main bedroom on the first floor with a sliding door to the wonderful deck. No stairs to manage and just the right size for us. The family room with flat screen tv was a favorite with everyone because of the comfortable furniture and windows everywhere. All areas were clean and everything worked well. The paddleboat was loved by all and the fire pit was a hit for s’mores several evenings. I have never experienced such a quiet environment before. Truly peaceful and so relaxing. The lake was beautiful, clear and uncrowded. We couldn’t have been more pleased and hope to travel there again very soon. Really recommend Sharon’s for lunch and the Dairy Queen is the friendliest place in town! Best grocery store is SuperOne in Superior, MN and Duluth, MN is a great day trip with lots to do and see. We loved Amnicon Falls State Park! Lots of falls and hiking trails with picnic areas.

Fantastic lakefront home, well equipped, and perfect for families!

  • 5 of 5

What a great home on Lake Nebagamon! We were traveling into the area for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends... we had the idea to rent a cabin on a lake so the kids could swim, fish, and enjoy a lake that we grew up on... we also wanted a place close to Superior, but big enough to invite family out...Upon arrival we were very impressed with the amount of space and how well equipped it was! It turned out to be the perfect place!! The water was shallow enough for the kids to play, and the dock was perfect for Grandpa to bring his boat out for a couple of days of tubing and waterskiing... with 3 bedrooms everyone had their own space and the kids loved sleeping in the loft... as a bonus it's really close to town so the frequent trips to the store or restaurants were pretty easy... overall we were very impressed, and would definitely consider it again for next year!!

Up North Getaway

Beautiful house fully stocked with everything needed for our stay. Comfortable and spacious. Fantastic sun room over looking the lake. House was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay in this house on this beautiful lake and will definitely return. Enjoyed fishing off the dock, just steps away from the house with my daughter.

Cozy, comfortable lakefront stay

  • 5 of 5

Great secluded, comfortable home with its own little stretch of lakefront. The house had everything we needed, and the owners were great to deal with. Seriously beautiful environment away from any hustle and bustle, but close enough to town to be convenient. You can almost walk to the little village, where you can get supplies and a meal. There's even a quaint Dairy Queen that looks like it's out of the 1950s.

The lake is wonderful and much bigger than it first appears. Crazy beautiful! We had fun fishing in its various lazy backwaters. We could even swim right off the back of the house. It was a great mixture of relaxation and excitement—particularly when we rented jet skis.

I wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time we'll take it for a month. It'd be a great base to explore the area from. Very homey. It'd be a great place to spend the entire summer and really disconnect from the world.

A lovely, cozy cabin located on a peaceful part of the lake

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at this cabin for the first time in 2015, having stayed in two other places on the same lake. We enjoyed the recently remodeled freshness of this cabin; the great room with its multiple windows and 2-story ceiling is beautiful, and the breezy porch is lovely in the evenings with the sliding doors opened. The kitchen was well-stocked with most of the utensils we needed for cooking, plus a few spices that we forgot. All together a wonderful stay!

Map

Lake Nebagamon is located in northwest Wisconsin, 25 miles southeast of the twin ports of Superior, WI and Duluth, MN. It is a quaint village with a lovely swimming beach, several restaurants and bars, small grocery store and gas station, post office, public boat launch and watercraft rental. Public tennis, volleyball, basketball courts and small skate park are available. And the Dairy Queen is a slice of Americana as one of the oldest in Wisconsin.

The lake is a gem. This spring-fed 986 acre lake is clean and cool with a firm sandy bottom. Fish include Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Trout and Walleye.

Plenty of activities can be found nearby. We are about 30 minutes from Pattison State Park and Wisconsin's tallest waterfall. The famous Brule River is a short 15 minute drive for trout fishing and canoeing. Golfing is close by. Madeline Island and Bayfield, Wisconsin are about an hours drive. Duluth, MN offers Canal Park, museums, an aquarium, movies, dining, shopping and more.
