Beautiful, newly decorated 2BR/2 BA Legacy Condo w/unsurpassed views of Gulf
This luxury condo is decorated with a classy global beach ambiance unique from other vacation rentals on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We, the owners, envisioned it as a year-round residence, furnishing it with decorative touches that speak South Beach or Southern California. A change in family situation led us to move elsewhere and we now rent our beach home to guests on a year-round basis.
With 2 BR, 2 BA plus a bonus room (with twin bed), this is the more spacious version of the 2 BR homes found in Legacy Towers. Its 3rd floor location offers fantastic views of the resort-style pool and the live oak tree where our neighborhood great blue heron frequently comes to roost when he’s through fishing in the Sound. The large balcony provides the perfect vantage point for viewing fantastic sunsets, the white sand against sparkling water, and Gulf Coast nature. Enjoy dinner and cocktails on the veranda without the wind-tunnel effect sometimes found on higher floors.
We love to cook and entertain and have equipped our kitchen for this purpose. Blender for margaritas or daquiris. Stock pot for a shrimp or crawfish boil. The condo is set to entertain and enjoy: cloth napkins from Tommy Bahama, glassware, barware, and restaurant-white dinner plates. You can buy fish off-the-dock to grill either on the balcony (electric grill) or poolside (charcoal). But if home cooking isn’t in your plans, restaurants and bars, not to mention casinos, are only a short distance away.
The master suite has a king size bed furnished with Pottery Barn duvet, down comforter and quality sheets. It opens directly onto the balcony and offers a wonderful wake-up view of the beach and water. Its private bath has double granite sinks, jetted garden tub, and separate shower.
The second bedroom comes with a queen size bed (with Tommy Bahama bed linens) and direct access to the guest bath with shower-tub combination. A bonus room is equipped with a twin bed. The living room has a queen-sized sofa sleeper.
As a globally traveled couple who’ve always preferred vacation rentals to hotels, we understand what separates the best from the rest when it comes to travel accommodations. We know that the little things can make all the difference, and have designed our condo and your travel experience to reflect this philosophy. Come share our Gulf Coast home and our Gulf Coast hospitality.

About Susan Carley
We are a professional couple who love travelling, entertaining, and good food. One of us is a university professor and a Mississippi native who returned to the Gulf Coast area to be near family and the city of New Orleans where she spent part of her youth. The other is a North Louisiana native, and a knowledgeable amateur naturalist who enjoys the unique environment and habitats of the the swamps, bayous, and barrier islands. We met while doing our undergraduate work at LSU.
Susan Carley purchased this Condo in 2012
Why Susan Carley chose Gulfport
We chose the Mississippi Gulf Coast based on great childhood memories of the area. One set of parents owned a fishing camp not far from the Coast. From this camp the family frequently visited the barrier islands on a small boat hand-built in the father's home workshop. Gulfport-Biloxi beaches were a great place for the kids to swim and build castles in the sand. Another strong appeal is Gulfport's proximity to New Orleans where one of the owners maintains fond memories and friends from her adolescence. It's easy to drive there, enjoy great cuisine and culture, and return back in a single day.
What makes this Condo unique
Having rented at other area complexes before buying our own, we feel that Legacy Towers has the most to offer of any condo community on the Mississippi Gulf. One factor is the setting, which includes two resort-style pools, large live oaks, lovely tropical landscaping, and nicely maintained grounds. A second factor is the quality of amenities which include a well-equipped fitness room, hot tub, saunas, indoor pool, and putting green. Historic Great Southern Golf Course and its new restaurant are right next door. We particularly love our 3rd floor unit. From our balcony, you have a wide vista of pool, sand, and water while still feeling part of the natural surroundings. The large live oak sheltering the pool seems to be in our own 'front yard.' Our location offers a human-, rather than 'ant-scale', perspective on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico .

Well maintained and decorated very nicely
Outside property was clean and recently had an exterior renovation. Condo was very nice and had all the pleasures of home. Susan, the owner, was very responsive too my questions.
The best of the best!
We have stayed in this unit several times. Clean, comfortable and the view can't be beat! Looking forward to our next visit!
I appreciate your comments and hope to see you again in the future!
Disappointed! When we arrived, the bed linens were not clean and there were dirty dishes in the cupboard. The carpet and most of the furniture (both inside and out) needs cleaning or to be replaced.
I'm sorry that you had this experience which is a first in the time I've rented my condo out to guests.
I wasn't aware that there was a problem during your month-long stay and, had I been notified, would have had the housekeepers come again to make immediate amends.
As far linens that weren't clean, were sheets inadvertently left on the closed sofa sleeper maybe? I've used the same cleaner throughout the time I've rented the condo to guests, and only once had a miscommunication problem that led to the cleaner not getting there in between renters.
The guests who immediately preceded you (left the day before) posted rave comments, and I feel their experience is more typical of what other guests say. I do agree that one of the outdoor chairs needs to be replaced which is in my plans now that winter has passed and the balcony will be more frequently used. And I will take a careful look at the furnishings to see if anything else needs updating or replacing. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Beautiful Condo in Perfect Location
Woke up to a magnificent sunrise shining through the patio doors. Then we were visited by a local heron on the balcony. That was the first morning of a wonderful month-long stay in a beautiful condo in the perfect location. The owner was very responsive; when we asked prior to our arrival if a Keurig would be available, she delivered one. Great amenities and one of our favorite vacation spots throughout the US. We hope to make our stay at Legacy an annual family tradition.
Great place near the beach
We thoroughly enjoyed this condo. It is close to the beach, has a great view (overlooking pool and beach) and is fully stocked with linens/towels and kitchen utensils. Susan (owner) was very attentive and available should we have needed any assistance. There is security which we liked and plenty of parking. We would definitely rent here again!
My family and I stayed here twice in less than 3 months. We love it! It is furnished well and extremely comfortable. Great for a family with young children. We will absolutely be staying here again. The owner is fabulous as well.
We highly recommend the Biloxi Visitors Center which is only steps away from the Biloxi Lighhouse. Ole Biloxi Schooner Restaurant (downtown Bilox) has an authentic feel reminiscent of New Orleans oyster houses. Shaggy's Marina Restaurant in Long Beach and Shaggy's in Biloxi have great casual ambiance, okay food. Mikey's on the Bayou (Ocean Springs area) has best overall seafood and fantastic views of Fort Bayou. For outstanding food and a romantic evening, try the newly opened Cork and Cleaver in downtown Gulfport. Half Shell Oyster House is also very good (in downtown Biloxi and Gulfport) but doesn't take reservations. For even casual art patrons, visit the O'Keefe-Ohr Museum near downtown Biloxi. Do not miss the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs where the artist's works so perfectly capture the nature's gifts and beauty of the locale. Nearby Bay St. Louis and especially Ocean Springs have lots of charm. Shopping and casual dining are good in both places. For eco-travelers, lots to see and do including Gulf Islands National Seashore Park in Ocean Springs, the beautiful Pascagoula River, and the MS Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge in Gautier. This is a great place for easy biking and nature watching.
