Property was what we expected. Having three bedrooms and being close to Gatlinburg was great! It could use updating but we had a nice stay.
The views, the location, the atmosphere everything was amazing. From the office staff to the experience was amazing. Perfect distance away from everything but not to far from the fun. Weill definitely be there again!!
Beautiful view with terrible housekeeping
First the positives. The view was beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. The reason for the low review score is the terrible maintenance and housekeeping. The wallpaper was peeling in places. There were spider webs in the corners. And a coating of dust was everywhere, from the window sills to the tacky wreaths to the picture frames to the bathroom fixtures. It appeared to not have been properly dusted for years. The carpet was not vacuumed either. The stairs had crumbs and debris on them and the downstairs carpeting was dirty. There was dust, food, bugs and debris on the kitchen floor behind the rolling cart that the microwave is on. We were fine with the cabin being slightly further away than desirable. And we were fine with the outdated country decor. But when we saw the state of the cleanliness and repairs we were extremely disappointed. We also had to leave the key in the lockbox whenever we left the cabin, which made us feel like anyone with the combination could enter at any time. Not terrible but not a great feeling.
Many guest reviews before and after your stay were 4 and 5 stars...
Stay in a hotel and most all employees have access to your room.
We ask you to leave the key in the lock box so you do not lock yourself out, lose the key or incur an expensive locksmith charge.
We appreciate both positive and negative reviews as we are always trying to improve the Smoky Mountain experience. However mean reviews are just a waste of time.
The view was fantastic! The furniture and beds were comfortable and the location was close enough to Gatlinburg to be convenient but with the benefit of feeling secluded. The owners/property managers were very responsive and answered any questions promptly. Overall a great stay.
it was overall OK my daughters loved it.. but I'm use to the updated cabins I stayed in years past
Didn't look inviting on outside inside was OK... view was amazing but could use some updated stuff and TVs in every room couldn't sleep cause I have to have TV on
Old and Worn!!!
We just returned from a week in this cabin. The cabin needs a makeover. It was probably the cutest thing in the mountains in 1985; however, now everything is worn out. The beds, especially downstairs are very uncomfortable. The bed upstairs has a bedframe that sticks out beyond the bed yet hidden by the coverlet; my husband tore his shin up on that.
The pots and pans are plentiful but old worn out Teflon. We had 5 forks but there was 6 of us,,lol. The cabin had a Jacuzzi tub which had 2 dead roaches in it, but no privacy so we wouldn't have used it anyway.
The cabin had been cleaned but not deeply. Cobwebs hung in the ceiling of the upstairs bathroom. The beautiful view of the mountains was obstructed by dirty windows.
We had to get someone to come fix the tv....turned out that the plug was not working so they came back and replaced that. Our dealings with Cramer's Creekside Cabins were very satisfactory. They were attentive to our needs and very cordial.
The view from this cabin is beautiful but I would not stay here again and wouldn't recommend it until work is done on it.
