Relaxing Stay in a Gorgeous Home

  • 5 of 5

We were up for a quick weekend trip to look around the area and begin our search for a home to move to Colorado Springs. Our host, Sandi, was fantastic! Her home was absolutely beautiful and in a wonderful, quiet location. The river that runs directly behind her home sets the stage for a scenic and quiet retreat. Sandi showed us around the neighborhood and was helpful in steering us to places nearby for sightseeing and to good restaurants. Everything about the house was just as described or better. The beds were super comfy and the location of the home was near enough to things you needed but far enough away from the hubbub of town. It is my hope that when i return to visit Colorado Springs that this home will be available for my stay! Thanks Sandi for everything!

Sandi was wonderful to coordinate with as I booked it for two of our employees on business and she answered all their questions in a timely manner and was able to get what they needed. Beautiful property as well!

Clean, spacious, quiet, easy in-out

  • 5 of 5

This 2 bedroom unit is off the beaten path, so it is quiet, but it is easy to get to. Plenty of linens, towels and kitchenware. I took a nap on the futon and it was comfy too. Our favorite thing was the waffle maker, complete with all the fixin's for waffles. That was a nice surprise. We used the washer and dryer and had no problems. There are plenty of games and DVD movies. Even though temps hit 90+ while we were there this unit stayed at a comfortable temperature thanks to the mature trees all around. We mostly visited with each other, but we did use the TV a little. It was huge and the channel selection was great. Sandy checked in on us via text which was a very kind gesture. I recommend this unit and owner. Thanks for a great stay!

Good location but average accommodations.

  • 3 of 5

The rain during our stay didn't dampen our enthusiasm for Colorado and Manitou Springs, but may have for the property. Didn't get to truly enjoy the creek due to the rain. For the price per night was disappointed with the interior and then there is a cleaning fee on top of that. Maybe that fee is common - VRBO newbie here, but the total price was too much for what it is. Certainly can't knock the proximity to the Broadmoor and Seven Falls. After four days we learned how to get around pretty well. Next year will try our luck elsewhere.

Owner's Response: I am sorry it was raining during your stay, I try hard to order sunshine but does not always happen! VRBO is an excellent way to travel! As far as the accommodations being "average", please read previous reviews, many happy guests.
