Hello! Thanks for looking at the Mountaincrest Retreat, my pride and joy! After leaving my 8 year career as a mechanical engineer in the medical products industry in the spring of 2011, I took on the monumental task of renovating my home in the hopes of creating Flagstaff's best vacation property. It turned out to be a huge success, and a few years later I purchased the Mountaincrest Retreat to help me share Flagstaff with even more people. I love that I'm able to share my properties with so many people and help my guests have the perfect vacation. I can't think of a better job to have!
When I'm not booking stays or meeting my guests as they arrive, I spend as much of my time as I can outdoors! I grew up on the coast of Maine where I learned to appreciate nature's beauty, and nowhere is better than Flagstaff to experience it. I love to mountain bike, hike, camp, and most of all ski/snowboard! There isn't a season I don't love here in Flagstaff, and I always look forward to the change in weather as that means that I get to change activities along with it!
The Mountaincrest Luxury Vacation Retreat purchased this cabin in 2014
Flagstaff is a wonderful town with so many things to see and do, it is a natural playground for any outdoor enthusiast. There is also so much history here, with all of the Rt 66 attractions, and ancient native american sites. I think Flagstaff has the best scenery, friendliest atmosphere, and healthiest lifestyle of anyplace I've lived...what more could you ask for?
I absolutely love staying at the Mountaincrest Retreat for so many reasons. I love the peace and quiet that the neighborhood offers, and think there is nothing better than sitting on the couch with a fire burning in the fireplace watching the snow come down outside.
I love being so close to everything, yet having the serenity that the house offers. It is wonderful spending an evening in Flagstaff's bustling downtown and within minutes coming home to complete peace and quiet.
Waking up in the morning and riding my bike to the Campbell Mesa trail head without ever having to get in a car is my favorite way to start the day. The trails are beautiful, and there is so much wildlife to see. The views overlooking Walnut Canyon are incredible, with elk, deer, and birds along the way.
This is our third year visiting the home and we always end up surprised with the amazing amenities with the home. Everything is always so perfect and we can't imagine any other possible way to make it better. Always on point!
This was a gorgeous home with everything we could have possibly needed. The home was clean and comfortable. We loved the two big tables in the living room where we could all sit for game nights.
This is a great house with a lot of space. Well taken care off and everything was provided. All the rooms are big with king size bed, big bathrooms.
I would definitely stay there again
The house was large, beautiful, and most importantly clean! It was perfect for our family vacation.
We arrived to a spacious home with lots of room to spread out. It was clean and homey. It had snowed the weekend before and there was snow in the back for the kids to play in. There were plenty of supplies--soaps, toilet and paper towels and cleaning supplies. The kids loved everything about the house--they had a great time.
We loved that all the rooms (except the bunk room) we spacious and had king beds. Since there were a few babies with our group, setting up a pack and play in any room would not be an issue. The bunk room was huge and great spot for kids to hang out. The house was stocked with supplies like garbage bags, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, etc. which was appreciated.
