Nice House, But Screen Room Needs Attention

  • 4 of 5

This house is very well-equipped. All you need to bring is your clothes and toothbrush. There is fishing gear downstairs in a large closet off the screen room as well as a crab trap. The house does show some wear and tear in areas, such as cracked and broken floor tiles and a warped gate off the upstairs deck. The furnishings are nice and comfortable and very charming decor. The big negative is that the ground floor screened room has been neglected and is very dirty and grimey. So much so that it was not useable due to the unpleasant amount of filth. This needs a good cleaning and sprucing. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs for the master bedroom because the ac unit makes a startlingly loud noise when it comes on. The private dock is great for fishing and relaxing on the upper deck. If you take your dog's, the green grassy back yard is a bonus, although not completely fenced in so you still have to leash them. Despite the few criticisms, I would still recommend this rental. It is close enough to walk to the beach (down street and up a block-about 3 blocks total).

Nice house for beach vacation.

  • 4 of 5

This is a nice house for a beach vacation with a large (10 people or so) group. It is an approximate 7 minute walk to the Gulf Shores beach or you can drive and park your car 2 minutes from the beach. The large two story deck in the back yard on the lagoon provides a relaxing option to watch sunrises and sunsets. The house has a common area (family room/dining room/kitchen) large enough to accommodate the complete group. The owner/property manager were easy to work with. A slight negative of the rental is the extra work "required" of us on check out day, for example washing and putting away all our linens.

Nice place with great amenities.

  • 4 of 5

Great space, needs some tlc all the way around. Either I misread or missed that the bedroom downstairs was basically an apartment, with plans for younger kids in that it took away two beds. Would return.

The home provided everything we needed for a great vacation stay with family.

  • 5 of 5

Great location ample room and amenities for an enjoyable stay for family of all ages. Within walking distance to the beach. A great dock for fishing and crabbing for the 8 year old grandson and beautiful view of the lagoon. Only a few things in the home in slight need of repair but that's understandable with so many people coming and going and it wasn't anything that dampened the enjoyment of the visit. Thank you for being so easy to work with and so quick to respond to my questions. Gladly do it again!
