Unit was as advertised. Quiet, comfortable, nestled in the woods. Owner lives next door and was very accessible during our stay.

Perfect studio for a couples weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

Simple studio with just enough essentials to get by. The place was just as described. Centrally located between Kingston, Port Gamble, and Poulsbo it made getting around quite easy over our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice little Studio Cabin

  • 4 of 5

I would have given this a 5 star rating if it had a little more amenities. The photos owner's descripton are accurate and the location was great. It's a small studio type cabin, basically 1 room with a small adjoining bathroom. The bed is a folddown sleeping sofa with a foam mattress pad. The sofa bed was comfortable to sleep and is a queen size.

There isn't any chairs to sit on,except for the dining chairs, so at night, you're either at the little dining table or laying in bed. We didn't find any chest to be able to put our clothes away and had to pull out of our luggage.

This is an efficiency type unit, so don't expect a large refrigerator or any cook stove. We used the counter top burners to cook breakfast and the toaster over. We pretty much ate lunch and dinner out. There is no TV, so be prepared to read at night or if you bring your laptop watch videos.

Speaking as an architect, if the bed was rearraigned and a couple of easy sitting chairs added and a chest of drawers, the place would be close to a 5 star. We didn't use the sauna, so can't speak about that.

The bathroom was tight, good enough for one person at a time.

The place was very clean, however there was a slight cat odor we noticed. We informed the Owner and she told us that there was some spray scent that we could use to kill the smell. We told her that she could take care of when we left.

The place is very small and would be close comfort for more than 2 people, but with kids sleeping on the air mattress, it could work for up to 4.

It is a great location and off the beaten path, we enjoyed the location and did make several day trips around the island and back to Seattle. On the way in from the ferry, there is a nice food market to stop at and pick up supplies. We just met the host accidently while we were both leaving one day. Otherwise we had the place to ourselves. Although they live in the adjoining house. If we're back in the area, we would certainly consider rebooking this cabin.

Conveniently Secluded

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Turtle Lodge while attending a wedding in Kitsap. The location was perfect for what we wanted, conveniently located close to the venue, but secluded enough that we had time to ourselves to relax. The studio was surprisingly large, and very comfortable. Sara sent wonderful directions, so the place was easy to find. I highly recommend staying here if you want a relaxing getaway away from the city.

Quiet and Peaceful

  • 4 of 5

A very quiet, peaceful place to stay; nice alternative to traditional hotels. Room is in a small detached studio with separate access; private bath; tile floor with area rug. On a private road away from major roads, nestled in tall trees and small pastures. Kitchen amenities make an extended stay easier. Nice wood burning stove makes for comfort on cool evenings. Central north Kitsap location gives close proximity to Kingston, Hansville, Port Gamble, and Poulsbo. 30 minute drive to Bainbridge ferry terminal for the 35 minute boat ride to downtown Seattle.
