This exquisite Spanish-style, single-level private home is a true gem that is perfectly situated in a quiet, high-end residential neighborhood only a few blocks from La Jolla's famous village, beaches, and Farmers Market. Newly renovated, this home has top-quality hardwood and ceramic tile floors, granite counters, high-end stainless steel appliances in the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, beautiful furnishings, big comfy beds with premium bedding, and a separate dining and/or office area. A very private fenced patio is ideal for outdoor meals with its sunny southern exposure. The patio leads to your garage for easy unloading of your vehicle and then you can park it securely and walk everywhere. Kids can come and go at all hours safely and find plenty to do around town. Well-behaved pets are welcome here. We live in the neighborhood and aim to exceed our guests’ expectations. We can even stock the ‘frig for your arrival!
This home sleeps 6 comfortably: 1 king in the Master BR, 1 queen in the Guest BR, and a leather queen sofa-bed in the LR, all with premium linens and duvets.

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Marina. The listing was accurate-the place was clean and cozy. The cottage is in a great location-walk to town or the beach and has a lovely enclosed patio in the back. The owners were helpful with restaurant advice. We will stay there again next time in La Jolla! Cheers!
Our experience was terrific. The home owner and the agent in town were very kind and helpful and responded to any questions immediately. I would highly recommend renting this lovely home to anyone visiting the San Diego Area - in particular La Jolla. Wonderful location on quiet street within walking distance to lovely beaches and very close to down town La Jolla. Everything we needed was in the home; Kitchen, beach needs, TV's, etc. Very comfortable and relaxing. Would rent again and recommend!!
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Marina! Like all the reviews, it's in a great location--walking distance to the beaches and many shops and restaurants, and it's on a quiet street away from all the traffic--the best of both worlds.
The rental is clean, nicely furnished and well stocked with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The beds were a bit too soft for us, but that's just our personal preference--all other reviewers found them to be very comfortable. The only downside during our stay was the noise from the construction going on with remodels directly across the street and next door, but for the most part it was quiet during the weekend and by mid afternoon.
I'm writing this review on our last day here, after a mid April Friday- Friday stay. It's my husband, myself, and my 7 year old niece that stayed. We absolutely loved it! It is so peaceful and serene here. I loved making breakfast every morning and looking at the beautiful flowers on the patio. My niece enjoyed reading outside. It was perfect, and here is why:
- This place is CLEAN! Everything was in working order.
- The beds and furniture were beyond cozy and comfortable! Pillows and all.
- Beach towels, chairs, and boogie boards were provided!
- You are IN town, but in a residential neighborhood, so there's none of the noise, but everything is walking distance. Windansea beach is a few blocks walk away.
- You will be close to grocery stores, shopping, wonderful restaurants- all within minutes
- La Jolla is about 15- 20 minutes to downtown San Diego. It's the same for all of the beaches you may want to reach, and attractions too. We seemed to get EVERYWHERE we needed to go easily and quickly. Even rush hour traffic isn't bad. This house is central.
We will definitely be back, and recommend this place to anyone wishing to enjoy San Diego! La Jolla is by far the most beautiful area!
My husband and I stayed at Casa Marina during the Holiday Season for a period of 3 months last November. We've been going to La Jolla/Windansea for a few years and stayed in different places but Casa Marina was one of our favorite location. We loved it and so did I our Airedale Terrier, the quaint little backyard was perfect for her 🐾🐾
Every morning we took a walk to the beach and went back for the breathtaking sunsets in the evening. Since we were there for a while, I found a workout place in the village and it was so nice to be able to walk to it, everything's extremely close, you get to save on gas and stay in shape...the best of both worlds! Aside from the village where you can find everything you need, there's also a wonderful Sunday morning Farmer's Market five minutes up the road from the cottage.
Not only is the location perfect but it's also a very safe and quiet neighborhood, you get to hear the ocean at night as you're falling asleep, I really miss that!!!
The cottage is filled with everything you may need, whether it's for a few days or a few months. I love cooking and baking and Marina's kitchen was the best!
Any questions or concerns, Candice and Marina will handle it immediately. One morning we woke up to a pretty chilly cottage, unfortunately the heater had stopped working during the night. A quick phone call to Candice and less than an hour later, someone had already fixed the issue. Casa Marina is a little jewel!
Niceley appointed cottage in a quiet neighborhood. Casa Marina is just a short walk to the beach and close to the shops and restaurants. While most parking seems to be street parking, we enjoyed having a garage spot and also enjoyed the private patio. The gas grill worked well as did all the appliances. Very efficient and simple check in/check out. Marina and Candace very nice and accommodating! Wonderful stay in La Jolla!
