The apartment has access to a shared backyard, and a wonderful, productive Meyer lemon tree. In the tradition of Alice Waters and Chez Panisse, you can pick your own lemons and make your own salad dressing, for a world class salad with greens from Northern California farms!

About the owner: Our family has invested in real estate in San Francisco for almost two decades, and one of our favorite properties is 1856 Green, in Pacific Heights. It is a small residential apartment building, on a quiet, sunny street, just one block from great restaurants and world class shopping on Union Street. I can’t wait to be living here full time! The panoramic views from the large living room and dining room are glorious, with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay. The high coffered ceilings, large rooms, and wide hallways provide a relaxed elegance to the environment. We have spent the last winter renovating the bathrooms and the kitchen, with high end appliances; choosing Ralph Lauren linens for the bedrooms; selecting and hanging chandeliers; installing wifi and cable TV; and selecting furniture and artwork from our home in Nashville. Voila! After a few daunting moments, it is perfect.
