I'm a lifelong Louisville resident. I recently purchased and moved in to the condo upstairs from this unit. I work in the banking industry and also dabble in the music business.

Why Doug Weede chose Butchertown
I was looking to downsize my living space and was attracted to this area because the NULU business district (2 blocks away) has many locally owned restaurants, boutiques, attractions, coffee shops, etc. The area has a lot of energy.
What makes this Condo unique
The stained glass window in the lower unit grabbed my attention the first time I drove up to the property. During the renovation we used as much of the original structure and other materials as possible in order to protect the historical value.

This property is a beautiful, classic older home and is conveniently located near many attractions.
Everything you would ever need is provided as if you are staying in your own home. The condo is very spacious and beautifully decorated and has all the modern conveniences yet has lots of character and comforts. The neighborhood is quiet and has lots of character too and Doug was gracious to meet, amazing to work with, responded quickly, and was very help when arranging my stay in Louisville. It is close to the river and Slugger stadium as well as the Market District with lots of great food nearby. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced. Will look at staying there again for the next T4G conference and to enjoy the spring season in this beautiful city!
We had the pleasure of staying at Doug’s property two years ago and enjoyed it immensely to the point that we made the decision to spend 4 weeks at this location this winter, hiding from the harsh winters of Northern Michigan. Its location is perfect for walking to many local restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries and even the Yum Center and Ali Center and Louisville Slugger Museum for cultural experiences. It is also close to the Ohio River with its beautiful Riverfront Park, the Big Four Bridge and close proximity to The Falls of the Ohio. Doug is a perfect host and offers keen insight into Louisville dining, offering the guests opinions on both popular and hidden treasures in Butchertown, The Highlands and along Frankfort Avenue. This property is very well maintained, well appointed and immaculate. My wife and I travel often and rank this property as one of the best ever! Make your reservations now......................
Charming and comfortable
Quiet, extremely clean and met our needs perfectly. Close to food, entertainment and the freeway. We will be back for sure next year if not before.
The pictures don’t do it justice
We were in Louisville for the Ironman this past weekend I competed in. Doug hit it out of the park multiple times. The condo was ready at 9 am the day of arrival, which was amazing to come straight from the airport, settle in, and get on with the activities of the day.
Doug also provided coffee, water, beer, and wine! We weren’t expecting it and we surely enjoyed it. Especially after the race for me!
The location is tremendous. We were able to walk to everything on Market St. and an easy walk or run to the river walk and pedestrian bridge.
I highly recommend this property and the hospitality Doug provided to ensure we had a great time.
Festival long weekend in NULU
We had a really great laid-back experience staying at Doug's place - spacious, comfy bed, awesome A/C during a heat wave and parking! And on top of that, a delightful welcome package (water, pop, coffee, beer & wine). What more could you ask for? Walking distance to the riverfront and our festival venue. Doug's neighbourhood suggestions were awesome too - Feast BBQ and the Butchertown Grocery - delicious. Can't wait to return again to one of our favourite music cities in America.
