Tranquil 4 Bed, 2 Bath house just steps from the beach. Full Kitchen, Sleeps 10

This house is the perfect balance between being close to Waikiki & Honolulu (15min) but is tucked away in a quiet community. Walk to shopping, dinning, and grocery stores which are just a few blocks away.

The pool area is tucked into the lush gardens and the covered cabana is a great spot to hang out after a long day in the sun. There is a outdoor shower to rinse off when coming and going from the beach which is right across the street (little/no traffic, very safe for kids).

The Master Suite is the largest bedroom complete with large master bath. The remaining bedroom are good size and have views of the pool area.

The kitchen has everything you will need to make your meals large or small. There is also a washer/dryer in the study off the kitchen so you can pack a little lighter.

House is only about Location!

I want to start by saying this house is the perfect location for the following places. Beaches (Sandy, Lanikai, Waimanalo, and Kailua) 20 minutes from Waikiki, 20-30 minutes to airport (depending on traffic). Hamauna Bay is a 5 minutes drive. Scenic Views and Hikes also 5 minutes away. The house is within a nice 15 min walk to the nearest Movie Theater, eateries, and shops. The grocery stores is about a 5-7 minute drive. The only reason I am giving 2 stars to this house is the house was not equipped to entertain all 10 of us. The house was very dusty on top of the Frig and stove, the bed linens and pillows seemed to not have been changed or washed from the last time someone stayed. It definitely did not seem to have a cleaning service come in before we arrived. There were not enough bathing towels, beach towels, coffee mugs, and drinking glasses. (I had to send an email to the realtor the next morning after I arrived to inform) Although I received a prompt response, the owner had to be the one to come over and bring us what we needed who lived in the attached house. The extra bed in the Master bedroom can only fit a couple of kids or 1 adult which seemed to be an air mattress with a couple of light blankets. No extra pillows if needed to be used. The spare bathroom had a shower head that seems to feel as if needles were hitting you when you showered and the ceiling fan in the master bedroom was not able to be used as it was missing a piece. The only appliance that has been upgraded is the Washer / Dryer. Frig, Stove, and Coffee Maker need updating. All towels, bedding, and pillows definitely need to be changed out. Wi-Fi did not have a strong signal. The owner was very pleasant to speak with when he came over to bring what we requested from my email to the realtor. I would suggest this house if you are looking for just the basics and to have a great location for all the tourist areas. The pool was the highlight of the house with the attached lanai. I am not sure I would rent this house again if I knew there were no updates or better reviews. As for the beach across the street. There is no beach! You can walk down the alley, but you will only be able to view is water and rocks. The nearest beach that you can be able to relax, surf, or play in waves would be Sandy or Waimanalo which is about a 5-10 minute drive. Overall, we had a great vacation, but a bit disappointed at the way the condition of the house was and what it came with.

this space has plenty of space to bad it is filled with second hand furnishings. Has not been well cleaned in a good long while - black mold in the shower etc. would not recommend this house to anyone.

We had a wonderful time!

The house was wonderful and the quiet Portlock location was everything we had hoped for. The house was clean and had all the needed amenities. Lot's of towels and all the necessary supplies (we really appreciated this as we had just come from a Waikiki condo that had nothing!) We really enjoyed the pool and the great family room. WiFi wasn't robust, but it worked for the most part. For those unfamiliar with the area, Portlock is about a 20 minute drive to Waikiki. Portlock point is beautiful (but definitely not a beach), and the quiet small beach access was perfect for us, but it is not Waikiki. We would definitely stay here again. Very enjoyable

Our family's stay at this location was very enjoyable. Ample street parking, a beautiful pool next to the house, a very clean kitchen, and a washing and drying machine are some of the amenities included in it. The owners do live on-site in a separate house, but for the most part they kept to themselves. We only ever had to talk to them when we needed something (ask them for more fans if it gets hot!), and they were very courteous and polite. There's ample street parking and Koko Marina shopping center is a ten minute walk away! There are many great restaurants to choose from over there and Hanauma Bay was a short drive away from the house as well! Overall, the stay was really relaxing and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

我和家人一共大小十人從中國到夏威夷旅遊,從綱上知道PORTLOCK 是夏威夷最好的靠海高尚住宅區,選擇這個房子是因為它地點好,房子看起來也十分漂亮,而且價錢比同區的都要好。到達後感覺選擇真的沒錯,房子四房兩浴室,地方很大,十分舒適。房外除了有特大的院子,還有一個漂亮的游泳池地方,大人小孩都玩的十分開心。房子近海,地方比一般的房子要大三四倍,環境十分寧靜。房子附近有各種景點和不同的購物中心及餐廳。非常滿意,下次再來還會選擇這房子。

Well wort it

Portlock is the best spot in Hawaii Kai. This house was perfect for vacationing. Nice and clean, plenty of space, lots of street parkings right in front of the house, great location, beautiful pool area. The neighborhood is very safe and peaceful, no one had any trouble sleeping or heard any loud noises. This place is a great value and we'll definitely come back again.
