This spacious three bedroom/two bath is in the heart of Gulf Shores. It is located in a residential area and is just minutes from the beaches and walking distance to local parks. Meyer Park is walking distance from the house. It's great for kids with a playground, gazebo, barbecue area with grills, basketball courts, and a baseball field for your enjoyment. This house has two decks on the front for relaxing and sitting outside. There is a screened porch on the back of the house for relaxation also. There is plenty of room for boat parking at the house. Internet and wifi are available to connect all your tablets and devices.
Inside, downstairs there is a kitchen that is fully stocked to cook a great meal while you're here, along with a dining area and seating at the bar. The cozy living room has a TV and DVD player for watching movies, along with satellite TV. The master bedroom and bath are also downstairs with a queen sized bed and TV. The master bath has a double vanity sink and a walk in shower. Upstairs has two additional bedrooms and a bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has a bunk bed with two twins and a twin trundle. All the linens are provided. This house is great for large groups or families. Great Place for Family and Pets!!
While this house was not on the beach like so many of the other rental properties I looked at before booking, I am glad I chose this one. The location is near a small park that the kids can go play at, and it was in walking distance from about a half a dozen restaurants and the new brewery in Gulf Shores. The fact that the place was pet friendly is what made us choose this property and there is plenty of room for them to roam. Having a yard, screened in porch, and place to grill made up for the fact that we were not directly on the beach, it also made it easier to get around while traffic was heavy. We were equally close to the beach, the Wharf, and had an easy exit on rainy days to head out of town to go shopping at the outlet mall. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone wanting to travel with their pets.
Had to endure a sewage smell when it rained. We were attacked by ants while sitting on the couch.
In addition to the ant attack, there was mold in the master bedroom shower.
We are shocked to read these issues in this review. We have absolutely no idea where the "sewage smell" could be coming from in the rain, and previous and later guests have not mentioned it at all. We are not sure why there may have been ants, but had you notified us we would have sent an exterminator out immediately to treat for them. We have sent maintenance out to deal with the mold in the shower, which we also would have fixed immediately had it been reported to us. We are sorry that your stay was not as expected, but encourage you to stay with us again and tell us immediately if anything is not up to par so we can rectify it.
Not great. Disappointed in the cleanliness or lack of...
Screened porch was filthy, cigarette butts everywhere. Inside, not the cleanest. Shower had mildew, furniture rundown, had to put a blanket between wall and headboard of bed because it kept sticking to the wall and making noise. No water pressure. Washer and dryer made hideous noise as well as AC unit. Was not impressed at all, should've gotten a little more for the money. Also the outside furniture was very rundown, pinched legs when trying to sit on any of it. On the plus side it wasn't too far from beaches and restaurants. Just be prepared to be underwhelmed....
We are sorry to hear that your stay was not as you expected. We have addressed the cleaning issues and should have no problems in the future. We have high standards when it comes to cleanliness and we will ensure that this is monitored more carefully in the future. We would have gladly remedied it during your stay had you reported it to us upon arriving and finding it that way. We will have someone look into the washer/dryer and A/C - but we have had no other guests mention any of these issues or noises. We are going to ensure that any future guests do not encounter any of these issues and truly wish you would have reported them during your stay so that they could be fixed and you could enjoy your vacation.
When we got to the unit- we were so excited to get out and stretch our legs. 9+ hours of driving... We found the unit met our needs perfectly. We loved the patio area in the back, the fact that the kids had the option to be able to go and play at the park- while we were not at the beach. We liked not being directly on the beach- and close to some of our favorite restaurants and places to go. (Tacky Jacks, The Dinner and the Warf) Overall the unit was just what we needed it does need a few updates But we would stay here again.
House was clean and ready.
Tv in livingroom did not work for most of our stay. Trash cans outside were full. Management came and brought extra can but we had to take it all out to curb for pickup by trash people. Which wasn't really a big deal just would have thought it would have been done by cleaning crew.
