You'll fall in love with the quaint town of Pacific Grove where we just built our beautiful beach bungalow located in an upscale quiet neighborhood. Our beach bungalow is steps away from the recreation trail that leads to Lovers Point beach and nearby restaurants. Take the trail a little further and you arrive at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. The famous 17-mile Drive starts at the next street corner and leads to Asilomar, Pebble Beach, Carmel, Carmel by the Sea, and Carmel Valley.

Your private entrance to the bungalow is located on the right side of the main property. You can park your car at the steps on the right side of the driveway.

The private beach bungalow offers you a brand new beautiful built modern kitchen. The kitchen is illuminated by a remote operated skylight allowing you to adjust your room lighting. Should you be interested in visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium we have two guest passes for you to use during your stay.

About Jim and Nina Locascio

We purchased this property 4 years ago and we transformed this vintage beach house into a modern wonder while keeping its original charm. We just completed this re-model in 2014 and it's ready for enjoyment by all.

Jim and Nina Locascio purchased this bungalow in 2010

Why Jim and Nina Locascio chose Central Coast

We traveled up and down the coast from San Francisco to Pebble Beach and found the perfect town to live. Not too hot and not too cold, not too busy and not too quiet. You too will want to view the local listings of property when you see what this town has to offer.

What makes this bungalow unique

The view of Monterey Bay is stunning and the sound of the waves crashing on the beach at night made us fall in love with this property.

Modern 1-Bedroom with Beautiful Garden Setting

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights. This simple modern home was very comfortable for us and we took advantage of the well-stocked and functional kitchen to make breakfast and dinner at home just about every day. We were happy to find that it was just about a block and a half walk to the water and about a mile into downtown. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood, which had many beautiful homes and well-cared for gardens. Similarly, Jim and Nina's home also had beautiful plants all around the front yard and rear patio which added to the feeling of romance and relaxation. The bed was very cozy (not too firm and not too soft) as well and the temperature inside stayed in a comfortable range. In addition, the bathroom was small but also very functional with plenty of hot water and sink space. All in all, the place felt bigger than it looked in the photographs. We were pleased with the lack of cluttering decorations and just the right amount of furniture.

The local area provided us with many diversions. We had not visited here before so we tried a good variety of activities. We took the bayside walk in Pacific Grove, went to Monterey for the aquarium (excellent) and Cannery Row (overrated and touristy of course), and visited Carmel-by-the-Sea to check out the upscale shopping, which was not really our thing. We greatly enjoyed our one special night out to eat at Passionfish in Pacific Grove.

In addition, we went hiking at Half Moon Bay, Pinnacles National Park, Point Lobos State Park, Garrapatta State Park, and Garland Ranch Regional Park, all of which we enjoyed quite a bit. Our only disappointment was not being able to drive further south into Big Sur due to the current road closure. The weather was also very nice during our stay with high temperatures in the 60s and rain just a couple of times.

All in all we had a wonderful active, romantic, and relaxing time which was enhanced by this very comfortable and convenient place to stay. I also want to thank Jim and Nina for their availability for questions and sincere concern for our comfort during the stay.

Wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was a home away from home for us while we stayed in the Pacific Grove area. It was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. We walked to the beach each evening (only about 2 minute walk!!) and we used this place as a starting point for our fun drive down the Pacific Coast Highway one day. Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy and Convenient!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in this beautiful, fully stocked apartment! What a great location to explore the area. We walked along the waterfront trail to the Monterey Aquarium - thanks for the passes - and back. Saw lots of deer on the nearby golf course. It was fantastic to be so close to the water - the coast is so beautiful here. It was great to come back to such a comfortable and spacious apartment after our days of sightseeing!

Cozy beach house one block from the water with all the fixins

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this Pacific Grove bungalow. Modest in size but chock full of everything you need for a great stay (refrigerator, washer/dryer, nice bathroom, microwave, oven, dishwasher, etc.). The free aquarium passes were really a nice touch ($100 value)! We were one block away from the water, and took some (sometimes foggy) morning strolls along a beautiful oceanside trail toward Lovers' Point and beyond. We spent most of our days in Big Sur hiking, but was great to come back and relax in a cozy place.

What a jewel!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect little spot to hide away for a few days and enjoy the ocean air, just a short drive to Carmel, Point Lobos, San Jose, San Francisco. The house is very clean and modern; great for one or two people. Nice kitchen for cooking in if you're tired from walking the beautiful recreation trail. Pacific Grove is the ideal small town and filled with cute shops and friendly people. This trip was exactly what we were looking for: easy, beautiful and relaxing.
