About the property

The two story house is great for multiple families. Three bedrooms W/2 kids twin

This house has three bedrooms. In addition there is a kids room off the master bedroom with two twin beds, books, puzzles, and pottery barn quilts. There is wifi, apple TV, Roku, fireplace, gas BBQ, pool table, game table, games, out door sitting, and wild life all around. One bedroom has two queen beds, Master queen bed with two twin beds off master for kids, third bedroom has queen bed. My house sleeps 10 in beds. There are 2 queen blow up bed, in addition one twin blow up bed in the bedroom that has two queen beds. There are indoor washer and dryer. Each bedroom has private outdoor deck. There is a BBQ grill, as well as gas fireplace. The kitchen has great cooking pots, pan, mixers, spices to cook anything you would like. I love to cook so I have most things you will need.

Please note that this cabin does not have AC. I read a bad review on a different rental because the house did not have AC. I want all my guest to understand what they get. I have been going up to our cabin for 8 years with my grown kids and their children. We have always put the fans in the windows and that has worked for us. There is a portable AC unit, but I find the fans work better than the AC unit. Hope this helps you make your decision.

This is a quiet neighborhood and very peaceful. The neighbors are lovely however are not wanting to be disturbed with loud late night outdoor activities. We watch out for each other.

All three day weekends are a three night minimum.

The house should have no more than 12 people including children. More than this will be charged $20 each person if neighbors report and extra towels and sheets are used.

About Debbi DeYoung

I own this house and it is a place my family love to go to be with their children, (my grand kids). I was a teacher for 15 years and now work as a therapist that works with children.

My house which I call a cabin is really a large house with different areas for kids to play in one area and adult to visit in another. The upstairs loft is a great play area for kids with a TV and large area to build a train track or play.

Debbi DeYoung purchased this house in 2005

Why Debbi DeYoung chose Capital Territory & High Country

This property is not a rental, it is a family home where my family comes to get together. Your family will feel the difference as soon as you walk in the front door. The ceiling is from a warehouse from Northern California and was sand blasted and then tung oiled. Windows are everywhere looking out into nature. I love the neighborhood that is all around this cabin.

The kitchen has a Decor stove with 5 burners. The BBQ is outside and there is always a full extra gas tank. The cooking supplies are those that any chef would love to use. I love nice things when cooking in the kitchen. There is a la caja BBQ from china in the garage if you know how to use it. (It is a Chinese BBQ that cooks from the top where you put the briquets). It makes chicken that is some of the best you will ever eat. Find receipts on line before you come up and have a new experience.

If you bring ATV there are many roads to ride on like the forest road 300. You will most likely need to trail them, it is about a 20 minute drive to forest road 300. The streets around the house are quiet so riding ATV up and down the streets in the neighborhood is not respectful to the retired folks that live up here. Riding to and from the store is not a problem, most people have ATVs.

What makes this house unique

This family home has a pool table, game table, fireplace, and outside sitting area where families can spend time together.

For those that like to cook or BBQ there is a La Caja BBQ from China and it can give you an experience in BBQ that will be new. Whole chickens are some of the best you will ever have.

Beautiful home to relax in

  • 5 of 5

This home provided the perfect opportunity to escape the city and enjoy a fun, relaxing weekend with friends. The home fit 8 adults very comfortably and provided many ways to pass time such as the pool table, poker table, board games, and beautiful hikes. The kitchen is fully stalked and the grill allowed for us to enjoy a delicious steak dinner. If there is anything I would change it would be to have a fire pit that actually works. In Debbie's defense, she did warn me that it did not work well but it would have been beautiful to have the fire pit in the cool weather. I also don't understand why there is such a high cleaning fee when the exit instructions demand you do most of the cleaning. You are basically paying $150 for someone to sweep and mop. But neither of these things caused us to not enjoy our time. Debbie was very easy to work with and the 8 of us have already begun discussing when our next trip will be. Thank you for welcoming us into your home!

Beautiful and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful property with everything you need for a relaxing get-away. The kitchen is fully stocked with every tool and accessory needed to make a meal. Each room has warm and inviting decor. But the best part is the backyard-- from the fire pit, grill and seating to the gazebo, lights and porch swing, there's something for everyone. The owner is very responsive and friendly.

Pine Cabin was Tranquil and Amazing!

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the property this past Memorial weekend. Pine was just beautiful and so much cooler than the valley. The cabin was very nice. The beds were very comfy. The linens were nice. We were fine with the temperature of the cabin and utilized the fans during the day. It was a little chilly at night. The poker table and pool table were a huge plus for everyone. Sitting outside and enjoying the outdoors was very relaxing. We saw an Elk walk by the yard. We walked around the Pine area and enjoyed the fresh air both in the morning and evenings. There was a local hangout - "That Brewery" that was a very short distance to the cabin. There was a new pizza place in town "County Inn" that had excellent pizza. We did barbecue at the cabin and the kitchen had a lot of items and it made it easy to make meals. We also went to Tonto Natural bridge which was cool. There is a nearby small grocery store if you need to get a few items. Debbi the Owner was very responsive and notified us immediately when my son left his Surface Notebook. I would recommend staying at this cabin. My family asked about booking again before the end of summer! ~ RB.

Wonderful place to get out of the heat!

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time celebrating my son's birthday at this cabin. The pictures do not do it justice! The cabin is very open yet cozy and inviting. The kitchen is well stocked and there are plenty of linens/ blankets to accommodate the number of beds. There is a bathroom in each bedroom, a large open loft area great for kids and many patio and porches to take in the forest. The home is close to the town of Pine and the Tonto Natural Bridge. I only have a couple of negatives; 1) The cabin is incredibly close to the neighbors on each side so with multiple kids it may be disruptive to the neighbors. 2) There is no fully covered patio area so when it did rain we couldn't enjoy it on the patios. It was July and the summer rain hadn't started so the house was warm when we arrived but with the use of the house fans was easily cooled down.

Truly a wonderful home and Debbi is a gracious host.

Better than it looks!

  • 5 of 5

Reviews are very important to help renters choose a property or feel more comfortable about the property they chose. I am writing this one to inform potential renters that this property exceeded our expectations. It looks better than the pictures. We stayed here this weekend (Just got back to North-East Phoenix in 1.5 hours. It is a nice easy drive to a wonderful and peaceful little town. The property had all it advertised and more. And everything was nice. In fact the actual home itself is architecturally beautiful. We enjoyed the most:

2 minute drive to Pine Trail Head

5-10 minute drive to Tonto National Bridge

Kids swing

Music system

Pool Table

Home Made soaps

Outdoor Fire-pit

Real indoor fireplace

Comfortable linens

The best part of our stay (with 2 couples and 4 kids) was that we all had plenty of room to spread out; bedrooms are separated and that we DID NOT turn on the TV the whole time we were there. We were unplugged; and the kids were entertained the whole time!

Debbie was the most responsive owner I have ever worked with. Answered my initial email within 10 minutes, and then answered my phone call right after. She made it a breeze. And my deposit was returned 3 hours after my checkout...

Thanks again Debbie for your hospitality!

Great for our Family

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was great! We celebrated here for 3 days over the new year and grandpa’s birthday with the extended family. (ranging from 2 to 74 yrs. old) The large fireplace, game table and pool table was a hit. The 2nd floor bedrooms with separate baths worked perfectly for the 3 family groups. The area is beautiful, and close to Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. The owners were easy to work with. The living area is spacious, and relaxing. The cabin has good spaces to be together or if you chose to spend time apart. We recommend renting this vacation home.
