Recently renovated Viceroy cottage on Lake Kashagawigamog. The cottage has a brand new kitchen with all new appliances. Sliding patio doors from the kitchen provide access to a large deck with a propane BBQ and screened in porch. The porch has patio furniture and is ideal for enjoying meals outside. The family room has a beautiful stone fireplace and provides spectacular lake views from floor to 30 foot vaulted ceiling. All new furnishings provide an ideal place for family entertaining.
The large master bedroom is on the second floor and features a renovated 3 piece bathroom.
The are two bedrooms on the ground floor; one has a queen bed and the other has a bunkbed (single on top, double on the bottom). A recently renovated 3 piece bathroom is situated right beside the bedrooms.
There is a walkout basement that features a bedroom with 1 queen and 1 single bed. In addition, there is a large family room with large windows providing a great view of the lake. The room has couches, satellite TV and WiFi.
The cottage has a wraparound deck and easy access to the lakefront. There are two docks with the largest extending out 50 feet with a large 16 by 16 foot area to enjoy the sun.
A canoe with paddles and a paddle boat along with safety equipment are provided. The bay is quiet and an ideal location for those who enjoy canoeing, kayaking and fishing. There is a boat launch located less than 1 km away. The bay is shallow but we easily dock a large pontoon boat.
We are a family with two teenagers. Our daughter has been going to camp in the area for the past 9 years and we fell in love with the Haliburton Highlands. We are an active family so we enjoy the many activities in the area including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and skiing.
Susan and Michael Martin purchased this cottage in 2013
We chose to purchase this property as we enjoy the quiet bay, great fishing and beautiful sunsets. Lake Kashagawigamog is part of a five lake chain and you can boat right into Haliburton to pick up groceries, check out the local stores and enjoy festivals in the park.
We have spent many nights sitting on the dock watching the sunset. It's a great way to unwind after a busy week. We have another cottage nearby and spend a lot of time up north so we are always around if you need anything.
We all very much enjoyed our week at the cottage, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. The cottage itself is big, tastefully decorated and furnished, and with a lot of tongue and groove pine paneling it gives it a real nice cottage feel. The large kitchen is very well equipped, very functional, and the layout has been well thought out, and it has a large kitchen table able to accommodate everyone. There are many large windows facing the lake, and despite having a few hot days it was usually breezy at the cottage, and the evenings were comfortable for sleeping.
The owners are a pleasure to deal with, and were very clear in answering questions, and in providing instructions on how to care for the cottage.
Extended family of 8 sharing a week at this fantastic cottage. Sharon and Michael were exceptional hosts and went above and beyond to ensure our vacation was extra special. Have nothing but positive comments and a true appreciation for the cherished memories created.

What a wonderful property!
The cottage at Reflection Bay was not only as advertised, but much more. The sunsets are spectacular!
Owners Susan and Michael presented us with a very clean and comfortable cottage. The up-to-date kitchen was well-stocked and a pleasure to work in. The large living room with a beautiful view of the lake was comfortable and featured all the amenities of home. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean and modern.
The paddle boat and canoe supplied for a quiet trip on the lake were much appreciated.
The location of the cottage is ideal. It's just a short trip into Haliburton Village or to Minden. And just up the road is Butternut Mercantile where you can get a great latte, Cafe Americano or fantastic ice cream...a super little spot!
Thanks again to Susan and Michael for providing such a lovely property for a wonderful vacation with our family and friends. We very much enjoyed our two weeks at Reflection Bay and look forward to returning soon.
My husband and I spent a wonderful, restful weekend at Reflection Bay with another couple. It's a short drive into Haliburton which is a lovely town in which to shop or browse. The cottage and property are stunning, and dining on the dock as the sun set was breathtaking. We couldn't have asked for a more ideal location and or a more enchanting cottage than Reflection Bay; the owners were incredibly helpful and made us feel so welcomed! I would highly recommend it to all of our friends and family.
My family -- kids 8 and 3 -- stayed here at the end of August. The place is as described and was perfect for our family -- but also for my parents who joined us for part of the week as there is a very well finished master with ensuite.
The water is a bit shallow for our taste but the dock is beautiful. The great room furniture comfortable and the views spectacular. It's only a few minutes from Haliburton which is highly convenient and has a great blue ray tv system (with movies) in the basement for rainy days.
But I must say, we've rented all over the world and often get the feeling that we aren't all that welcome and the owners have only allowed us to give them our money reluctantly.
In contrast, the Reflection Bay property set a completely different tone. There was a bottle of wine to welcome us, laundry detergent for our use, extensive information provided on what to do in the area etc. All through the property were similar little touches that just made things easier.
Someone has really thought this place through and that really made a difference.
We had a wonderful week at reflection bay with our family. It's a beautiful cottage and property - spacious yet very cozy. The dock gives a stunning view of the bay, and we got great use out of the fire pit. It's wonderfully decorated and we felt instantly at home! Owners were very nice and provided lots of information about the area and the cottage itself. We hope to go back again.
Reflection bay is a bountiful area for all types of wildlife including deer, beavers, blue herons and ducks. Enjoy fishing, canoeing and watching the sunsets from a large dock. A boat launch is a 5 min. walk, and the towns of Haliburton and Minden are both only a 10 min. drive where you can find almost everything you could possible need.
