About Scott and Lynne Van Dusen

We relocated to Portland in 2010 because of the vibrant and creative environment in and around the city, and to be within the amazing and beautiful Pacific Northwest region.

Scott and Lynne Van Dusen purchased this house in 2010

Why Scott and Lynne Van Dusen chose Portland

We love Portland and the Pacific Northwest, and chose this house in Sellwood because the location is close to everything we need and enjoy, we can walk to almost everything from the house, and the neighborhood has a great comfortable vibe.

What makes this house unique

This cozy Bungalow has more depth than one would think. There are nice spaces like the upstairs room for reading and relaxing with a rocking chair and sofa/futon, and the finished basement with a private queen bed, full bathroom, sofa/futon, bucket chairs, TV and laundry. One of our favorite features of this house is the front porch, which on warmer days, is literally an extra outdoor room overlooking the garden below.

Just steps away are two amazing parks, Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge, Riverfront Park along the river, Oaks Amusement Park, some of Portland's finest restaurants, some great local casual dining including food carts, a New Seasons market, Sellwood's Antique Row, some of Portland's most unique shops, a public library, public transit, and more.

Our place was very clean, plenty of space. The neighborhood is so beautifully landscaped, you're in awe driving through it. A lot of antique shops and A wonderful bakery around the corner. A nice hiking trail in Sellwood also.Very close to the airport centered around all activities. I would recommend this location and this beautiful home to any family that wants to vacation in and around Portland

enjoyable stay in quiet neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

The bungalow is very well appointed and very clean. It was nice having the paper goods provided such as saran wrap, foil, baggies, etc. For the stay we only needed to purchase our food items. We were able to grill outdoors and enjoy the large patio table.

The property is within walking distance of a grocery store, bakery and dinning.

Scott and Lynn were a please to do business with and it is obvious that they take pride in their rental.

Our daughter and family live nearby and we hope to rent the bungalow another time.

Wonderful Gem

  • 5 of 5

I am reluctant to leave this charming bungalow as in the short time that I have been here it has felt like home. As others have mentioned it is very well appointed. The home is also simply beautiful with natural woodwork and gleaming hardwood floors.I loved the front porch where we read in the afternoon gazing at the spectacular garden. The location is perfect; truly only A 3 minute walk to restaurants and shops. I signed up for a special pass at Sellwood Yoga, a great yoga studio, and walked to class each morning. The hosts were very attentive; making sure we had checked in safely and that we had everything we needed. I am already planning a return visit!
