This 7-year-old 650-square foot condo has everything you need - a firm, comfortable queen-sized bed, linens, a large washer and dryer, a fully equipped kitchen (we like to cook), a stereo with an iPod dock, hi-speed wireless Internet, cable TV, secure garage parking, and an on-site fitness center. We love this place because it's quiet, sunny and pleasant, spacious for a 1-bedroom, and has a nice outlook - there's even a view of the Bay Bridge on clear days. It's in a great location, especially if you work on the Peninsula or in the East Bay - we're only a few blocks from CalTrain and there's easy access to freeways and the Bay Bridge. There's a Whole Foods in our complex and great restaurants in the area. If you don't want to drive, city buses stop nearby.
Jeff is a retired university professor and writer; Janis is a writer and developmental editor. We live in Marin County (north of the Golden Gate Bridge) and bought this condo because we enjoy spending time in the city.
I had a wonderful stay at Janis & Jeff's Potrero Hill condo for five weeks. The apartment is exactly as pictured, but with some additional welcome surprises—a large walk-in closet with lots of storage space, a very comfortable mattress, a well-stocked kitchen, and great sunlight. Living right above Whole Foods was extremely convenient, as was having the secure parking garage with a private space right in the building. Street parking is also ample in the neighborhood. Additionally, there is a small but convenient gym with Wifi located right in the building and a small rooftop area with tables. Potrero Hill is notably sunnier than other areas of San Francisco and being close to 280 made my daily commute to Palo Alto much easier. Highly recommended, especially for a long-term stay!
Our condo is located in the best weather area of San Francisco, convenient to downtown, the Peninsula and the East Bay, the Mission District and AT&T Park. CalTrain is only a few blocks away. There's a Whole Foods restaurant in our complex and restaurants and bars nearby.
