About the property

My husband and I have owned our Little Yellow House for more than 20 years now, residing in it for the first 10 years and then to a long-term rental.

This is our little house's third year as a vacation rental and we are very hopeful that you'll not only love your stay here, but you'll come back again and again. (If you do return, we'd like to offer a 10% discount for return guests. :)

We've spent quite a bit of time making sure the inside is clean and cozy and we're confident you'll find everything you'll need for a brief or extended stay. Our focus now turns to the grounds, so please bear with us while we do some landscape upgrading (as time and finances allow). (UPDATE: The grounds are coming along beautifully). :)

We would also like to note that our house is not equipped with an automatic dishwasher or a clothes washer/dryer, so we've tried to reflect that in our rates. (Laundry services are available upon request or there is a self-service laundromat 10 blocks away).

We are also located within walking distance of a grocery store (3 blocks), St. Thomas church (3 blocks), Idaho State Liquor Store (3 blocks), tavern/pub (3 1/2 blocks), coffee hut (3 blocks) Vertical Earth Bike Rentals (5 blocks), Java on Sherman (7 blocks) convenience store/gas station (5 blocks), Centennial Trail (5 blocks), Cd'A Lake Dr. (less than a mile) and just 8 blocks from everything downtown has to offer in shops, galleries, restaurants, the lake and beaches and bars and nightlife, too!

Should you decide to visit Coeur d'Alene, be sure to allow enough time to enjoy all the amazing activities and sights that our beautiful little town has to offer, including, but certainly not limited to:

• Downtown Music Walk (4th Friday Jan.-April)

• Downtown Art Walk (2nd Friday April-Dec.)

Definitely lived up to the CUTE little house promise--and with an AMAZING back yard!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed here for Memorial Weekend. We loved the character of the house, and it was super clean and adorably decorated. The entire house had similar decor so spaces tied together very nicely. No detail was overlooked to customize the house and make visitors feel at home. The linens (bedding and towels) were equivalent to those found in a higher-end hotel. We didn't stay long enough to cook, but the kitchen was well-equipped if we had wanted to do so. There was also a very nice grill on the back deck. The standout feature was the back yard. It was a large, fenced space for our dog to run around and had a beautiful garden area. There was very nice seating on the deck and in two other places in the yard to sit and enjoy. It was a nice neighborhood to walk around and was close to the big Catholic church and the garden district homes. Downtown CDA and the lake were definitely walkable if desired but also just a super-quick drive. Debbie was very quick in responding to questions and promptly addressed a request we had (going above and beyond!). We would happily stay here again on a future visit to CDA.

Cozy yellow house

  • 5 of 5

The house is cozy and made us feel right at home. Pride of ownership is obvious immediately upon entering. The owner called to make sure we had everything we needed and seemed to be genuinely concerned about our comfort.

Excellent !!!

As surprises. Debbie was a great help and her house was very clean and well stocked for all our needs. The location is walking distance to downtown and on a tree lined very quiet street. The back yard is perfectly landscaped with comfortable wicker furniture.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Such a cozy, artful home with ALL the amenities one could want!

Debbie, you have thought of each little thing someone might need.

We all love your decorating skills---leaf motif, colors...

Perfect for walking to town--to beach. I will certainly recommend and hopefully be back!

Oh, and thanks for the delicious cherry tomatoes!
