About Johnny White
My family have been Ole Miss fans as long as I can remember. I'm an alumni from the School of Engineering who travels often for work across the US and Europe. Purchasing this property several years ago was a dream come true for me and my family. You'll find it offers an amazing energy and will leave any couple or family with a sense of serenity and peace. I also am a working musician with several full length albums available. Dedicated live performances available with rental if there's interest. I hope you'll consider inquiring more about rental options, I'm easy to work with and will do my utmost to accommodate any special needs you might have. I assure you it's worth your time!

Wonderful, relaxing getaway!
Our extended family stayed here for graduation weekend. The home is beautiful and easily accommodated our group of twelve. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford, but we made it to campus in less than ten minutes.
We took advantage of the outdoor space, including the decks, hot tub, the large yard, the fire pit and the small lake. The media room was also popular with our group. It was nice to have all the space to spread out, especially for the children in our group.
The owner was very accommodating and left easy to follow instructions for our stay
We highly recommend this property!
Great home for a weekend in Oxford
We stayed here for the LSU Ole Miss football game and had a wonderful time. The home is very cool. The property is beautiful. It is away from the hustle and bustle of oxford, but an easy ten minute drive to the campus or the square. It is a bit eclectic, but in a very comfortable way. The hot tub was especially appreciated. Slept like a baby in the beds. Host is very responsive and helpful. After leaving we all agreed that we wanted to book it again for our next trip!
This house and property are a great place to have a girls retreat!!! We thoroughly enjoyed every bit of space this home had to offer and the amenities were endless. It has a peaceful, secluded feel to it, but, only about 6 miles from Oxford. We spent one day shopping in Oxford on the square ( a must do ) and finished by soaking in the hot tub, after grilling on the Egg, all the while viewing the lake on the huge and beautiful decks. Yes, decks! We definitely were awestruck by this place and can't wait to visit it again. Don't miss watching a movie in the media room.
Perfect Oxford Home
My family was joined by 3 other families in Oxford for a couple games this fall. We chose Johnny's home because of it's amenities and comfort for several families. Upon arrival, it met all expectations. The home is beautiful and has a wonderful artistic feel to it. We spent a lot of time on the expansive deck, taking in the beautiful scenery; enjoyed the chef's kitchen which allowed for all of us to gather while we made dinner; took advantage of the Green Egg which meant steak for dinner; and in the end, we just felt at home at Flowtree!
Some things to note that I'd be remiss in not mentioning:
- Johnny, the owner, was fantastic to work with us. He was communicative up until our arrival and responded immediately during our stay if we had any questions. He followed up with us after we left to make sure everything was to our satisfaction.
- Little things made the home more comfortable...toiletries in the baths, a welcome basket, milk for the espresso machine, charcoal for the Green Egg, notes on where to find things.
- Convenience! Even though we were off the beaten path, we were only 6 miles from the West Jackson exit. We had no troubles getting into town on either game day.
Our experience was so wonderful, I felt it important to write a review...though now I worry the secret will be out, and we'll have trouble getting a weekend in the future!
I feel it important to let potential vacationers to this home know that this is someone's personal property that he rents out when there is interest. We have stayed at a number of VRBO's and that was a first for us. It was kind of weird being in someone's personal space. That being said, it was a very cool space indeed. The beds were comfortable and the view to the lake was great. He has a fantastic TV room which we were bummed we didn't get a change to utilize. The screened in porch is fantastic as well equipped with a Big Green Egg. We did cook there and stored our food in the 1/2 of the fridge that he left open for us. This is a relaxing property that could use a little TLC and a good clean at which point i would be thrilled to stay there again. The owner put great little touches out upon arrival such as a visitors guide, CD, mini Coke bottles with old fashioned straws...the bathrooms each had mini shampoo/conditioner and toothpaste. Great little touches that definitely go a long way. The owner has a large dog, so if you have pet allergies, this won't be the place for you.
