About the property

Welcome to our spacious corner unit: 2 bedroom/2 full baths vacation condo/Captains Bay. Vacationing there you are on the best part of the island. Located mid-island off of Estero Blvd. Beautifully landscaped all year around and just a walk down the driveway to cross the street to the best part of sugar-sand beach.

Steps away you have our beach, Santini Plaza with restaurants and shops (everything you need is there), Fish Tail Marina offers you all from boating to fishing, beautiful scenery, dining on the wharf, and a boardwalk as an alternative to walking our beautiful beach. The trolley stop is at the foot of our driveway to take you from Times Square to Bonita Springs & back daily 7 days a wk.

Our condominium is a spacious corner unit with 1178 sq. ft. under A/C with additional area in the lanai on the bayside. The condo offers a king-sized bed in the master bedroom suite, with a walk-in closet, double sink bathroom with corner shower stall & toilet separated from the sink & dressing area. Also a LCD flat screen TV is in the bedroom.

The guest room offers a queen size bed with full closet & private entrance to the 2nd full bathroom with both tub & shower. Also a LCD flatscreen TV is in the 2nd bedrrom. Both bathrooms offer separate linen closets with all linens and towels provided.

On the Gulf side of the condominium is the front entrance with a balcony view of the Gulf. The Bay side has a protected lanai (with entrance from both the living area and the master bedroom) with overhead light as well as table and chairs for four to dine or relax just watching the wildlife & view.

The living area boasts a very comfortable corner sofa, coffee table, and end table with overhead fan and light as well. The entertainment center with all its amenities & 46' LCD flat screen tv with more than 80 channels and premium stations as well is located in the living room but can be viewed from the lanai, or formal dining area. Broadband Internet hook-up and Wireless is there as well.

Besides offering a spacious open full kitchen, there is a breakfast nook off the kitchen on the Gulf side with a table that sits four as well. The breakfast nook is located next to the full laundry room with a full washer and dryer. In garage storage area there is for the vacationers beach ware and we offer beach towels, beach chairs, beach buggy, coolers and beach chairs.

The last two dining or sitting areas are the formal dining area with the three alcove windows looking out over the palm trees, this area seats four with full-size table as well and last the two bar stools that are used for a quick breakfast or snack right at the island of the kitchen. From the bar stools, dining area, living room area, and lanai the TV in the living room area can be viewed.

About Liv Undhjem

We are a small family from Norway currently living in Melbourne, Australia. I grew up in a ski resort in the Western part of Norway. I have grown very fond of Florida since my first visit in 1988 when I worked as an Attraction Hostess at the Norwegian Pavilion at Epcot Center in Walt Disney World. My husband also has a soft spot for the US, he took his Masters at Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona.

Why Liv Undhjem chose Fort Myers Beach

We love to travel, and my daughter was 6 months when she first visited the States; San Fran and Napa Valley :) At age 3 she conquered Miami beach and we visited the beaches there 2 years in a row. Then we discovered South Fort Myers beach when my American relative bought a condo, and we never looked back. After many visits and wonderful vacations, we took the leap in 2008 and bought this place - in the same building as my relative has hers.

What makes this condo unique

We love to spend time here, and come as often as we can. When looking for our own place, we knew we wanted to be in the area we had grown so fond of, with the fantastic beach across the road, my early morning sunrise walks at the beach, collecting shells and spotting dolphins and birds. Lazy lunches at the Holiday Inn Tiki Bar, the best Pizza in the world at Sandbar, delicious Ice cream at Truly Scrumptious and wonderful food and wine at South Beach Grille - all within minutes walk. I fell in love with the Bamboo floors and the granite countertops in our condo, and the beautiful blue colors on the walls. We love eating breakfast at the Lanai, where we overlook the Mangrove Forest and can only hear the birds and the wildlife, and we forget about time and relax. In the afternoon we sit outside at our front door area - having something cold to drink, a good magazine or book to read - and just soak up the sun and the ambiance. It is so relaxing to be there, and since this is our vacation home, we have made it comfortable and cozy, and like to keep in clean and well kept so our guests can enjoy it as much as we do. We play tennis at the court right next to our building (we provide rackets) and go for a swim in the heated condo pool a minute´s walk away, my daughter´s absolute favorite place to be when she was smaller. Now she just as much enjoys to play and swim in the Gulf, which is warm year round, but perhaps a bit 'refreshing' during the winter months. There are lots of things to do and see in the area, water sports at the beach, but we often just get too lazy, and enjoy spending slow time together as a family. However, we like to shop and the Miromar outlet is a treasure trove we have to visit every time we are there. Another 'must do' each time is at least one visit to the Bay Front Bistro a few minutes up the road. We love doing lunch outside, watching the Back Bay and savoring their excellent food and drink. Great Place to Stay

This was our first time booking a property vs. a hotel and we struck gold. This property was exactly as described and provided all the amenities of home. It is very tastefully decorated and comfortable. The beach is a short walk away and Liv provides everything needed while there. The location is perfect, away from congestion, but close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, beach, etc. Plus, the trolley stop is right out front. We can't wait to stay here again!

Great time!!

This condo was perfect!! It was super clean and stocked with everything we needed in the kitchen and for the beach!! There were 2 couples so each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom which provided a lot of privacy. The bars, restaurants, and beach were a short walk away and the pool was super relaxing! Liv was very accomodating and responded to emails quickly! We would definitely stay here again!! I would recommend it to anyone!!

Nice property but under renovation during visit in June 2017

Until the contractors leave, this property should not be rented. It is a very nice property by the lanai was unusable and the noise from the masonry contractors was continuous. The condo was well furnished and I would stay there again after construction is over as it is convenient walk to the beach and the location was good. The unit was updated and clean except the cleaning staff could have spent more time on the tile in the master shower.

wonderful

Liz was a pleasure to deal with the condo was great. Very clean and we'll taken care of. Unlike many condos I've rented this one felt like the owner actually visits and stays here. Although the association had some construction going on Liz was very accommodating. The condo was well furnished and had everything we've had to buy or rent on previous beach vacations. (Toys, umbrella, beach chairs, body boards, towels, etc.) plus many of the things you would have at home in the kitchen. It was a short walk to the beach 1/4 mile or so and less to the pool. We loved it. Thank you!

Great stay even with building construction.

We really enjoyed our second stay in the condo. One issue we ran into was unexpected construction that the owner couldn't control This cause the Lanai to be shut down for most of our stay, but we made the most of it. The condo is in a great location and is very clean. The addition of bikes this year was a great surprise...we loved using them! We'll definitely be back next year.

Lovely condo

The condo was lovely and decorated very nicely! Everything we needed was there. Santini Plaza was very convenient, about 3 blocks with several restaurants (where we ate several nights) , shopping, liquor store and CVS. The trolley was a convenient way to get to Time Square and day back ($2 for a day pass). Traffic was horrendous with the road construction so plan ahead! The beach was fairly close by. Our only issue (which wasn't the owner's fault), was that the elevator broke down on Saturday so had to carry our weeks worth of luggage and stuff down 5 flights of stairs! Liv did ask a neighbor to help us, which did help.
