House was comfortable, clean, quiet......the list goes on. We had things to do, people to see, but it wouldn't have bothered me to have never left the back porch of this house....what a view.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to send us a review. This is a great cabin and we love renting this one. We have a lot of return guests who returns each year along with word of mouth on this cabin. We try to keep the rates really low as you already found out. I love the fact you feel like you are the only one on the mountain. The views are breath taking. Also once on the back deck you will look out and see nothing but mountains and trees not of cascading roof tops of other cabins. Please keep our phone # handy for your next visit. We look forward to your return trip. thank you again for staying with us and for leaving us a nice review. Bill & Ann

Like Staying in a Treehouse!

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful mountain cabin! Very well equipped with amenities. Seven of us stayed and were very comfortable. Teenagers loved the "basement" with pool table & fooseball. Adults enjoyed the hot tub. Only "negative" for us was the steep driveway in a 15 passenger van but fortunately weather was dry so we managed. Overall a great escape!!

The area is alive and well!

  • 5 of 5

***I need to say this first ahead of the review. The forest fires that we all saw on TV and Facebook, while devastating to those affected, had no interference in our vacation what-so-ever. The area is still beautiful, the forests are all still green, and the attractions are open. The tops of the trees where the fires passed through are still alive even though the lower trunks show burn marks. Please do not let what you saw on TV or online dissuade you from vacationing in the area.***

We stayed at Journey's End for a family adventure trip with our 4 teenage children. The cabin is secluded, but very centrally located to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Sevierville and all of the attractions. After a long day of hiking and adventuring it was a welcome relief to return to the peace and quiet of the cabin. It is very clean, well appointed, and you can't beat the views from the porches and hot tub! It is true that there is no Wi-Fi, but our teens didn't mind at all. It allowed us to play cards, games, shoot pool, and play foosball as a family instead of 6 people with their noses buried in phones. The washer and dryer were very handy as well. If you are staying here I would recommend Trish's Diner if you are looking for a quick but decent meal. The chicken and dumplings were amazing! Legacy Mountain Ziplines is really close and was something we will never forget. If you like rafting the Nantahala Outdoor Center Upper Pigeon River run was one of the cheapest we could find and it was our favorite activity of the trip. The alpine coaster at Ober was a lot of fun also (you can drive up to the lodge and save the $13.50 per person for the tram). We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area.

Gorgeous just like the pictures and very comfortable and fun!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! It was perfect for our family of 6 and we really enjoyed everything the cabin had to offer. The only downside was that we couldn't control the jets or how hot the hot tub could get, but other than that the cabin provided entertainment and quietness away from the city life to be able to relax.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're happy you enjoyed your stay in the Smokies and found the cabin to your liking. Regarding your problem with the hot tub: while we hope they don't happen, hot tub issues do tend to happen in the cabin rental business. If in the future you have an issue with your cabin's hot tub, please call our office and we will be happy to get it up and running or reprogrammed again. We can't wait to see you again and look forward to offering you another amazing escape into the Smokies!

Clean, pictures need updated

  • 3 of 5

Cabin was clean and everyone was friendly. No wifi stinks and the tv lost signal after our second night there. The hot tub picture makes you think you are on the upper deck looking over the Mountains which isn't the case and it only worked right the first night we were there. The charcoal grill is one like you would find at a camp ground. Overall place was clean and stay wasn't bad.

Nice, remote, peaceful

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was very quaint and had basic amenities that were sufficient for our stay. It was quite remote and at least 35 minutes from the strip in Pigeon Forge. It was most definitely at our Journey's End.

Though we enjoyed our time here and making memories and being ever so close to Dolly's childhood home, we would stay at a cabin nearer to action next time. Our children grew impatient with the drive and winding roads.

Another negative was no wifi, which I didn't realize, and couldn't work, but that forced me to enjoy the beauty of the mountains.

This cabin is a drive from activities, but the drive is beautiful and the cabin and surroundings are serene. If you are looking for a place to relax and get away from it all with beautiful mountain views, Journey's end is your cabin!
