Our property was passed down through the generations. We are the first owners that follow a long list of inovators the the growth of the New Orleans Community.We will provide an inside look at what the area means to us and why we wanted to own a piece of it ourselves.

What makes this house unique

We love our home, whether it is the huge front balcony, the views from the living room, or the arched entryway. You will immediatey observe the rich ninetry three year old floors. We are minutes from all the tourist attractions but live in a quiet bedroom community.

I spent a week with Dennis and Arialda and had a fantastic time. Both were always very nice and helped me with everything I ever asked for. Communication was very easy and everything always worked out perfectly. Located in Uptown with both bus and cablecar stops only two blocks away it only takes about 20min to get downtown. Grocery stores and places to eat (I often was invited to eat with them) are close by as well. The house is very clean and there wasn't a single moment where I didn't feel completely safe! The bed is huge and very comfy. The bathroom is in perfect condition and personally I enjoyed relaxing on the front porch a lot. I don't have a single bad word to say about my stay. As their first airbnb guest I got a special price and it was 100% worth my money. If you come from the airport the taxi is a $33 flatrate ride. Recommended and rated 5 stars! Thank you Dennis and Arialda for the great week.

A delightful stay with most accommodating hosts.

Our stay for 4 nights at the International Green Home was much more than we had anticipated. We were warmly greeted by our hosts, Arialda and Dennis. They were most hospitable during our stay. We were treated like family. The home was comfortable; the private room and bed were quite “comfy”. The front porch, on the second level, always had a pleasant breeze. It was ideal for light music, conversation and relaxation. Our hosts gave us great suggestions for places to eat and activities to enjoy. The home is strategically located quite near public transportation (trolley and bus lines) and major streets, but away enough not to be affected by traffic or city noise - a neighborhood residence. It was not complicated to find our way to the French Quarter, parks and the Convention Center by any of several routes. The experience definitely enhanced our visit to New Orleans. We anticipate the pleasure of a return visit.

Owner's Response: We recommend Michael and Peg to all VRBO properties. Due to Sewer and Water USACE Drainage Project roads to and from our property were re routed. Project affecting the property soon to be completed. We learned of new places and restaurants to enjoy from Mike and Peg to share with future guests. Extremely Welcoming Hosts with Extremely Plush Bed

Dennis and Arialda made this stay feel like a true bed and breakfast. They showed a genuine interest in us and our activities throughout our 4-day stay. They made a full breakfast (eggs, bacon, juice - the works) and sat down to eat with us in the morning. They even invited us out to their favorite bar nearby. This kind of hospitality is why we like staying with a host rather than at a hotel.

The neighborhood brought welcomed peace to us in New Orleans. It's about a 40 minute streetcar ride from the Quarter. We particularly appreciated the supermarket two blocks away, and we ran to Audubon Park a few miles away on a morning jog.

The house is a work of art, and feels befittingly New-Orleans-ish. Arialda has packed the house to the brim with eclectic art she's acquired from the dozens of places she's lived around the world. The bedroom we stayed in had the plushest, most luxurious king mattress I've ever felt. There were some minor drawbacks that didn't materially affect our stay: the second wireless network had trouble connecting; the sink in our bathroom drained rather slowly; the TV in the room only gets a couple of over-the-air channels. Compared to our hosts' hospitality, these were easily overlooked.

Our stay was just great! House is beautiful.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay very much. The house is a beautiful, old house in such a cool neighborhood. There is a trolley and bus stop nearby. It does take a good bit of time, on the Trolley, to get to the French Quarter, but it runs all night which is key. Arialda was a superb host. She is very inviting, kind, and friendly, receiving me with a hug when I came and left! The room was nice with a lot of big windows bringing in the sunshine and the bed was so comfortable! Arialda's husband made sure to say his hellos over the phone since he could not be there to meet us which I found to be such a nice gesture.

Thank you both! We will be back to stay if we are in the area again, which we definitely want to be! New Orleans is such a unique, beautiful, fun city.

Beat all the Hotels in New Orleans..stay here!!

I highly recommend staying here...Very nice accommodations & close to everything. This home and our wonderful hostess Arialda really made us feel we were in New Orleans staying with friends..rather than like tourists staying in a hotel. Our room was very comfortable and quiet....and no extra charges for parking & internet!!

New Orleans

The house was very clean and owners extremely nice. We were only a few blocks from the tram to downtown New Orleans so didn't have to drive anywhere unless chose to.

First trip to New Orleans

This room was fantastic! We instantly felt right at home. Our host and hostess (Dennis and Carol) were an absolute joy! We didn't have the opportunity to meet Mrs. Arialda but she greeted us over the phone during our stay and seems like an extremely sweet person. Her home was decorated beautifully! The house is located on a quiet street that is easily accessiable to the streetcar. For newcomers to New Orleans, we enjoyed the location of the house considering it was close to all the sites but provided a quiet nights sleep. We stayed for 4 days/3 nights with our children age 8 & 12. Dennis accomodated our sleeping needs for the boys and they enjoyed the home as well as Dennis and Carol. When we travel to New Orleans again in the future we will definitely stay here again! Our hosts feel like family! I would recommend this place to anyone traveling to New Orleans. It's the perfect location with great hosts!
