For starters this place is small. 1000 sq ft. With only two bedrooms. The bed downstairs was horrible. I didn't sleep at all as every time I moved I was awaken by the loud bed. The frame is not attached. The entire place is extremely dusty and needs to be cleaned. No wifi which is fine, just plan your days before you get to the cabin. The good - hot tub. Tv upstairs is DVD only. Tv downstairs had zero volume to change. Always had to get up.

relaxing and peaceful, but a LOT of issues

  • 1 of 5

My husband and I took a weekend away, and though it was relaxing, this cabin had a lot of problems. From past reviews, it seems like nothing was fixed. Even the listing title wasn't true... no girl scout cookies, and the view from the hot tub was completely obscured by trees. Between the lack of a view and the grills not working (the nice stone one that we were looking forward to was completely broken down, and the gas grill on the porch had no gas), we felt the listing was GREATLY misrepresented. With the cleaning fee as high as it was, it looked like the place hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The dust was so thick and heavy it irritated my allergies. There was only 1 hand soap for 2 bathrooms, and multiple things were broken. Several light bulbs, both inside and outside, were out or even shattered. The shower curtain liner was ripped and simply tied back on. The dishwasher rack wheel was broken. The railings and chairs out by the hot tub were broken, and the hot tub cover was pretty rough (and heavy). We made the best of it and enjoyed our time, but this place definitely needs some work and the listing needs to be updated to reflect the issues.

Was once a very nice cabin but now desperately needs updating, TLC, and a thorough cleaning

  • 2 of 5

Pros: Great location, easy to find, renting it was a breeze, nice decking and fireplace, hot tub in its own gazebo was enjoyable, private with beautiful rhododendrums, kitchen seemed to be stocked farely well, you can tell that it was a very nice cabin in its prime.

Cons: dust and cob webs throughout, mouse traps with mouse droppings in multiple locations, shower liner torn almost completely off in downstairs bath, missing or non working lightbulbs inside of cabin and out, bed downstairs was noisy and uncomfortable but was clean, built in outside grill is completely unusable. I noticed the cabin was for sale and hope the new owners will update it and give it lots of TLC because it has a lot of potential.

Very cute, rustic, but very outdated

  • 4 of 5

The location was perfect! The hot tub was also a huge plus. The inside of the house was dirty. Cobwebs in many corners of the ceilings. Extremely dusty throughout house. The house just seemed like it has been vacant for awhile and unloved by the owners! It was a perfect place for young adults my age 24-27 because we didn't care much for the dirtiness, more for the location and skiing. Easy to rent, the company is great.

We were ready to buy and move in!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin had everything you would like in the mountains. Beautiful home filled with the necessities. Our only complaints: the kitchen items are definitely dated and hard to cook with, we couldn't get fans upstairs and some lights to work, and the outside needs a good sprucing up. But these are all VERY small things. All in all, a beautiful cabin, very private, beautiful view, and incredibly relaxing to stay at. It made us ready to buy the house and move right in!
