Eastham, MA - Charming Cottage - Steps to the bay and private beach!

Bedrooms 2
Space 500 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 3 - 7 nights

About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 full bath cottage

Tucked away down a quiet lane and only steps away from a private sandy bay beach, you have found simple paradise. This charming bungalow cottage is only two lots back from the water. Lovingly maintained over the years, there have been many updates. Along with central air, a shaded porch welcomes you and offers additional outdoor dining with picnic tables and a gas grill. The cottage offers a galley kitchen, and a living area with ceiling fan to circulate the cool bay breeze in the summer and wood stove to cut the chill in the fall. Two cozy bedrooms (1 with full size and 2nd bedroom with bunks and a twin) and bath complete the cottage. We encourage guests to bring their linens and towels.

Step out onto a large deck for great outdoor living and don't forget the outdoor shower. For your trips to the bay you will find a few boogie boards to enjoy the mild surf.

The sunsets only steps from our cottage and walks along the dunes are some of the most spectacular in the world. There is also a DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATRE located ten minutes away, which is fun for the entire family and a real throw back to the 50's!

See the Seals by boat from Nauset Marina in Orleans (10 minutes) and Whalewatching trips out of Provincetown are a must for first-time as well as repeat visitors to the Cape - and there's lots of shopping and antiquing for those interested in other activities.

Mini-golf is everywhere - and of course, some of the finest restaurants on Cape Cod just a few minutes away. Freshly caught local fish - the best chowder around - and all kinds of kids cuisine as well!

If you like to exercise, there are a few bikes in the basement to explore some of Eastham's wonderful bike trails. There are two local gyms, one more sophisticated, offering classes at all levels of classes from Pilates, Cross Fit, Spinning, to Step Aerobics, Circuit Training and a great indoor pool. There are also indoor tennis and basketball courts as well as a rock climbing wall for your kids! You can sign up on a walk-in basis or purchase a weekly pass at reasonable rates.

The lush green beauty of New England, combined with the magnificent dunes and beaches make for a perfect summer holiday!

Wonderful Indian Summer week at this North Eastham home.

  • 5 of 5

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this charming cottage. September weather was great as always on the Cape. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and he reacquainted himself with the neighborhood and area where he spent summers with his family many decades ago. The house was clean, comfortable, private, quiet and very well stocked with all the essentials and then some. We played golf at Ocean Edge in Brewster, a lovely setting even if you just go for lunch. We spent a late afternoon into sunset sailing out of Provincetown, and we grilled a special dinner for our anniversary night. There's a wonderful restaurant just minutes away (The Fairway on Rt 6) where we enjoyed great breakfasts - they even have a hand cut donut shop section. If you don't want to climb the staircase to the beach there is a lovely beach with large parking lot at the end of Campground Rd, just slightly south of the house. I flew a kite for the first time ever from that beach, which we purchased in a cute toy shop on Rt 6 in Orleans. There's plenty of good shopping for food at the Stop and Shop in Orleans. We treated ourselves (twice!) to Wellfleet oysters on the half shelf at Mac's on Rt 6 (great for fresh seafood and they have take out too) and we even had fried clams at Arnold's one day. The homeowners couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The pictures on the site really don't do the place justice. It is a hidden gem in the lovely hamlet of North Eastham. Thanks for a wonderful time!

Wonderful and Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful Cape Cod vacation which all started with this Eastham cottage! It was everything we wanted and more! My husband, 2 children and myself traveled from MN and felt right at home during our stay. The bay is only steps away from the cottage. The home is equipped with anything you may need for your stay! Barbara was a gem to work with and replied to all emails in a timely manner ( and I sent a lot😉)

The only downside to our stay was having to leave!

Perfect intimate getaway for a young family

This cottage has everything... all the creature comforts and more. The grill and outdoor shower were favorites. Cozy and quiet, tucked away from busy roads and only steps from the bay. We loved our stay... everything you'd want from Cape Cod.

Charming cottage by the Bay

  • 5 of 5

My spouse, 6-yr old, and cousin stayed there with me...we had a terrific week at the cottage. It is just lovely, fully furnished. Can't think of anything missing. I Knew we were steps from the bay but hadn't realized we could swim was perfect for my 6 yr old. He is already planning to go back...though he was disappointed to find out that it wasn't OUR cottage. The water was really warm... low tide was more of a could walk more than a km (yes, I am Canadian) without any water.... but high tide and in-between were good.

The owners were helpful and friendly...didn't actually get to meet them in person but our various exchanges were helpful. I recommend whole heartedly.

Great time with the kids

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and our three young girls had a terrific week at the cottage. The location can't be beat if you enjoy beach walks and the sea air. Go down to the end of the driveway, make a left, walk about 50 yards and you are at the stairs to a private beach. Not bad. The bay was perfect for our kids -- warm water, no pounding surf, and hunting for hermit crabs at low tide.

The cottage itself has a beach feel and a rustic charm. It has two bedrooms, a living room with a futon, a small dining area, kitchen and bath. Some nice features include central air, an outdoor shower, really nice grill, deck with a sitting area, cable, wifi, washer & dryer, hammock, and water sports gear.

It's a few minutes from route 6 and close to Campground Beach. We went into P Town one day and did a whale watch. Did our grocery shopping in Orleans (maybe 10 minutes away). The location makes it a good base for all the typical Cape activities (mini golf, ice cream, fried clams, P Town, national seashore, etc, etc...).

The owners were a pleasure to deal with and very responsive. We would highly recommend this house for families.
