Just like home

This was our 12th year at Maui Banyan but first with Ed Clarke. Can’t say enough good things about the unit or about Ed. Clean and updated with all the amenities! WiFi, cable, beach chairs, boogie board, coolers, pack & play crib, high chair and a fully stocked kitchen. He has thought of everything! Already planning our trip next year! Thanks Ed!

Wonderful Maui Vacation

Our family enjoyed our stay very much! The condo was fully stocked with everything we needed and was very close to the beach, which is just across the street, also It's an updated unit and it looks exactly like in the pictures.

Very impressed

It was a really great place to stay with the kids. Well stocked kitchens. The owner Ed was great to deal with. I accidentally left some cloths behind in the dresser and he made sure I was able to get them back after check out.

Another Wonderful Stay!

This was my third time booking with Ed. His kindness, wonderful hospitality and great local recommendations keep bringing me back! The last two years I have traveled to the island to celebrate both mine and my daughter's birthday and this last time was over the top special thanks to Ed. I had requested a slice of cake for from a nearby restaurant for arrival since we flew in late and the next day was my daughter's 12th birthday. Ed was unable to locate the cake that I had requested, the baker for the restaurant no longer had it available, so Ed had placed two slices of local cake from Safeway and his favorite cake from the local Whole Foods in the refrigerator. What an unexpected delight that was! My daughter was thrilled! From the first time in 2014 I booked with Ed, to the second in 2015 and the most recent in 2016 I have had nothing more than outstanding service and his condo is everything and more! I look forward to booking my fourth trip for August 2017! Thank you for being so wonderful Ed!

Clean, convenient, well equipped

The condo is close to the office, the beach, local convenience stores, and multiple restaurants, so we didn't need a car for anything. The local bus ($2 per ride; $4 per day pass) would have gotten us to the Wailea Shops or the farther grocery stores and restaurants if we had wanted to go.

All communications with the owner were pleasant and prompt.

The condo is clean, light, and airy; the kitchen has excellent cookware and utensils; and the bed is comfortable. We got beach towels each day from the office and returned them after use, so we had less laundry to do. The washer/dryer in the unit is new and clean, and some soaps were available when we were there. There's a dishwasher, but we didn't use it because we like to clean everything up after eating so we don't attract bugs. We didn't use the air conditioner because we got enough breeze with the fans and a small opening of the door during the day. At night we were comfortable with the door closed.

The only drawback for us was the proximity to the main entrance, which generates a certain amount of noise from arrivals and departures, but it wasn't a serious problem.

One of the nicest upgraded units at Maui Banyan. Ground floor so you don't have to rely on the elevator. Shady north exposure. Close to the beaches, dining and other things you come to Maui to enjoy.

Condo location is central to all ocean activities, and is walking distance from the Kihei Boat Ramp where whale watch and snorkeling trips depart. Great beaches and eateries are at your doorstep. Owners live in Kihei at Maui Banyan. Ed is an active member of the AquaHunters, an ocean kayak fishing group, enjoys stand up paddle boarding (SUP), and a member of the Maui Table Tennis Club and is glad to provide guests with guidance on these and other activities. Snorkeling is excellent from the small point just west of the condo. Kamaole 2 is normally very good for swimming, gentle body boarding and stand up paddle boarding. On site tennis court. Locations to fish from shore and spear fish can be walked to from the condo. Cheryl is a water color artist and can provide guidance on opportunities for art classes and directions to her favorite farmer's markets and thrift shops.
